- Today, we install my new Apexi Throttle Controller! It is amazing! Super simple install and you definitely feel the difference. Every car, slow or fast should definitely have this! OK due to the abundance of time, thanks Corona V19. I took the time to install the controlla on my 09 is350 The removal of the stock throtal plug was very difficult. After busting a knuckle and wasting 30 min I ended up using a needle nose vice grip which removed the plug right away. Iam sure any kind of grip carfully applied will work real well. Insallation took 2 min after that. Results: I have the MPH halo set at 95 mph, I set the Apexi on the red setting for the highway, the red halo lit very quick and I feel out of my comfort zone. I will have to get use to the full throtall aceleration at 75mph plus. Lots of fun , I was with my son and he said he noticed the differences too.

Hey man cool mod, I wasn't aware of these. I wonder how much it would help on my 200t bc the lag is PRETTY REAL LOL. I feel you on meets, just hanging out with car friends getting lunch and stuff is more fun for me. BUT, I am taking my car to a show in December and the main reason is so I can take pictures of it in a show setting bc I think it makes for good background scenery. The one I'm going to isn't indoors, but that's definitely another goal: getting some sick indoor show pics.

halfwaytillbliss it would help a lot as long as you have a tune. Because you guys have turbo lag as well as throttle wire lag. Oh dude, I would much rather grab a bite and kick it than just go to a boring meet with people who are just stuck up lol.

Yes they do! However you’ll need a tune to help remove your boost lag as well. 200ts have throttle lag as well as boost lag.

Thank you!! I really appreciate you watching my videos!! Not a problem! It does not waste fuel faster however the way you drive will change, which will affect fuel. I notice that I do let it hit higher rpms sometimes. But I always drive in Sport Mode & High Throttle Mode (RED).

Yeah just looked it up. It’s not legal in Cali, I didn’t think it was that strict down there. That’s crazy they won’t let you run a intake like that.

Hey nice work on you lexus. Do you have info on the gray wire install. Dose the controller over ride the oem power eco switch settings, and when you put the care in reverse and in red mode dose it affect the response . Thanks
Thank you! The grey wire install makes it so that when you reverse, it disables the controller. Reversing in red mode is way better for me honestly. Less throttle lag!

I wish they were RGB! It’s a little too expensive for me especially knowing that I will just keep it red anyways haha. I painted over the DRLs with BHT Niteshades Red Spray Tint!

should get the RR Racing tune next! A little redundant and late but it Improves throttle response passively and makes the pedal response more linear!

@@JasonNguyen agreed, they used to give discounts if you already had the tune but not anymore. I was thinking about supercharging as well... Then I did a compression test and had relatively low compression on cylinder 2 :( itd be sweet if you did it, I've only seen 1 or 2 that are SC'd
They do still give the discount last time I checked. They just send you a new tune file and you use the tuner they give you when you originally bought your tune!
@@davispitts for the 350 SC kit I saw the tune discount but not for the 250 kit. Maybe if you contact them directly they can apply it, not sure.

I think exhaust, headers, and tune will help the most! Cold air Intake on these NA engines don’t do much. Stock intake is best imo!
I read the apexi is buggy …but that’s on the RCF …. Gonna try the pedal commander on the is350.

Hey bud! Thanks for watching! It’s super hard to get out! The only advice that worked for me was to feel where it is on the new one and try and find where it is on the old one and just try your best to pull it out! It’s a tight space as well. It took me 15-20 mins😭

I got both the harness and controller from THMotorsport however they no longer carry it. You can find the harness for your make/model by searching it up! The harness and controller are sold separately

Have you tried searching for it? The controller is universal! You just need the harness for your year and model!
@@JasonNguyen I'm seeing it for the gs 430 but not the 400 which is odd, I gotta dig more they have to make it, what a game changer this would be, the hesitation is a safety factor sometimes, especially pulling out or changing lanes quick.

You don’t have to at all! I don’t have mine installed!

The harness is separate! You need to get the harness for your make/model!
