It’s wild right! Staggering to think, JHope hadn’t rapped before BTS and RM and Suga encouraged him. Turns out he’s unbelievable at it. Also rap line pleeeeeaaaaase Outro “Tear” live at Wembley (wearingDior) next. And “Ddaeng” rap line. Brilliantly there is also a live version of “Ddaeng” which generously the rap line have the vocal line rapping on it, with mixed results! Great fun to watch!

I respect them so much for this - putting some very strong, layered feelings into their art. In a sense, the world these days is so filled with misdirected anger and hate, and oppression - to the point that victims are vilified and the perpetrators revered. There's so much to this in a general, and most certainly for BTS at a more personal level.

One thing about rap line songs is that the lyrics have so many layers!! Like not only do they write amazing lyrics on the surface level intake, but when you look even deeper, their wordplay is crazy. Like I don’t their lyricism can ever be fully admired and appreciated if you don’t speak Korean.
It's an amazing performance about the need for anger, and the misuse of anger. We need anger to start a change in the world. But using our anger to bully someone or to put someone down is just wasting our anger.
I love how their performance is a full experience. they set the stage to put you in the mood. the colors, setup, the close etc., are all extensions of the song. you can clearly see it in this performance, their last Grammy performance as well and so many more
UGH for me is on par with STRANGE which talks about how corrupt the system we are living in is. I keep repeating the line "polarization is the ugly flower which already bloomed" from RM's lines a lot these days. Also, J-Hope's P.O.P. song is another one which touches me very deeply. I love this song. Despite being my number 1 hype song, the meanings are always so thoughtful and meaningful. They discusses about "rage/angry". How it's normal to have rage, its very human to feel angry, everyone must let out their anger, but spitting out your anger for the wrong things is meaningless. Namjoon said it's ok to let out your anger, everyone has the right to feel so, but don't spit out your rage for meaningless things, like hating on others when they do nothing to you, you're hating to the point it ruins their life, the rapline said they are angry at the pent up anger that are not spent well. They also said letting out your anger to a righteous cause can change the future, so why waste your anger on something dumb?? On the bridge, they mock all of their haters who said things like "why are you mad, you're famous and rich anyway" to bts. treating them as if they don't have feelings to feel anger just bcs they are celebrity and have more money. The "ehem" part is a very korean thing. In korea they have a hierarchy system when the older or the onces above you sometimes abuse of. They do the "ehem" to establish dominance among the young or lower onces. In that part of the song the boys mimic the haters, who think high of themselves and say thinks like "you have money, you should endure hate and criticism" "I can say and do whatever the hell I want bc you are famous" Sadly, suicide in kpop due to haters and bullying is more common that it should be..
