@Professor Charley T, I didn't understand the solution properly. I am currently running ads for a high ticket item with a low daily budget optimized for conversions. Email Marketing isn't an effective way in the target audience. Would you suggest that I keep the campaign running without it ever exiting the learning phase or changing the campaign objective to something like traffic or something?
I'm not Charley lol, but changing the campaign objective to traffic or anything that is not leads or sales will 100% make the problem worse. If you can't use email marketing then that's tough...because you would have to spend enough to first of all know if your creatives, copy, and messaging before and after the click are on point. And then from there to spend enough to get the conversions you need for Facebook to maintain good performance. But if you find that your CPA is too high or you're not getting any purchases, I would look at the product/angle/messaging/creative being the main issue...not something you can fix inside the ads manager. If you're profitable, then I would just increase the budget over time and focus on making awesome creatives or making incremental improvements to the sales page.
Charley, so if I have a local remodeling company, should I be optimizing for Purchase and/ or Schedule? Right now I’m spending tens of thousands on optimizing for leads, which has been a 6% lead-to-sale conversion rate (and a 20-40% lead-to-schedule conversion rate)
IMO you should optimise for buyers, always. Are you tracking which ads create "qualified leads" & "sales" vs just leads? To help with benchmarking, in my agency we aim for a 70%+ lead-to-schedule conversion rate. PS my opinion comes from running 600+ funnels & campaigns :)
