Went fishing off the Bahamas years ago. Had a fish on the line and it came up into visual depth. About as soon as we could see it, a bull shark came up and decided the fish was his. The second the shark took the fish, our guide cut the line and just said, "nope".
Glad to see you back! Sadly the bite rate for the big fish seems to be reduced from what we got when first released. IMO the shark have always been rather slow and very time and peak dependent. Have fun just the same, there are so many species and good locations. Sadly for DLC buyers the rod/reel combination seems to be the least productive method to catch the big fish players would come here for.
You’ll get up there my man, just keep that dedication! I just hit level 50 a few days ago, and the XP gained from the lakes just continues to increase as long as you know what you’re doing. Once you get to Michigan, grind the Northern Pike until you reach California, where you can grind White Sturgeon. If you get bored at level 40, go grind some Sockeye Salmon or Chinook Salmon. Then once you hit 42, Silver/Bighead Carp are the way to go.
Also I know it sucks but buying a pond pass to higher level body of water helps a lot to I refused to spend any real money on helping level up ( other than buying the premium every 30 days ) until I got to level 50 and became impatient after months and months of grinding finally broke down and bought the salt water dlc grabbed a lighter than recommended setup and using the anchor up technique with the boat starting farming tarpon and permit and started climbing a level a day really helped me out a lot
@@SmaugsInferno if you can get the congo dlc.I got it and started fishing at level 47 and 30 days later level 74 plus 3.4mil cash.The cash and xp from the Nile perch and Goliath tigerfish are incredible.
I just fought a bull shark for 1 hour and 27 minutes. When it got within 30 ft, it said it escaped because of low line tension. The anger I just had was immeasurable
Try blood with a 14//0 also right at the exit from the boat spawn. Also, go to the third island spot. You can cast from the shore. 6:30 to 7:30 is the best time for me.
There’s 8 spots for sharks I’ve found that the best time to fish for them are on the incline days start at 7pm and 1st spot is the entrance where you went the real tight spot before you go into that is a spot 10barbless hook and blood the hottest spot I’ll give you coordinates when I get home at work at the moment lol glad to have you back wish you was on Xbox I could share my markers
I just found a way to catch consistently any fish monster that you get enough bait, line, or hooks for. Lures are out of course because you only get one. Did not want to post the link without your approval. Just trying to get it out to as many people as possible. First I have seen how to do it. Still lower level (60) and the 25k exp and 50k cash for 3 leviathan sturgeons really helped. Just wished I had higher level poles. Let me know what you think.
i set my rod stands and stand in a position where i can see my rods and have a second screen over fp and watch twitch or youtube while i fish now. deff helps too while your on long grinds.
Of you get bored, try something else! Yes maybe the grind will be slower, but having fun is the most important part. Also, I suggest you play other games, as it can get repetitive even if you change it up.. Challenges are also fun
I feel pretty done with this game after the level 50 grind. Simulation and fish behavior haven't changed for the better in years. Fish are still not acting like real fish, not even a little.

Why is my titanium leader breaking everytime i catch a pike with it? Its 15.2Ib test. With 25 In test momo line. Brutus rod 11-34LB, Golden Thunderspin Reel max drag 42 LB...I have my leader set to minimum 13 inches.

dude i got a fish here once and i was reeeling him in for 3-4 hours and he never came up so i just stopped playing the game after that idk if it was a glitch or not but it was really annoying

quite the older way of catching them... with a 4.5 kg line without leader and a telescopic rod you catch them way faster (but always from the boat)
