lmao! Huckleberry & Apples cage had a tunnel with the candy cane pattern, it blended right in so it just looked like something red in the middle of the cage, lol.

This is a story about my piggie.
So my piggie Cali got a friend from petsmart named Chloe, and when we got her she had a uninary track infection. So we put her in the petsmart vet and unbought her, which was very risky. But it was our only option at the time. So we came to visit her every day until one day, when he came to get hamster food, and we didn't want to visit her that day because she was supposed to come home the next day, ok ok no big deal. But we went to look at the pigs for sale, just to look, ok? Then, we saw MY CHLOE!!!!!!!!! I said to my nana, wait, THATS CHLOE!!!! so we just asked where she was to test the store of them lying. And they went back to the back room and then came back and said well she's actually on display, and I was so worried, especially because there where these two boys pointing at Chloe like they WANTED TO BUY HER. Good thing they didn't. The thing is they said they would call us when she was done, which they DIDNT. They said, oh she wouldn't of been sold. THEY COULDNT TELL THE DIFFERENCE. So we took her home, and the funny part is my other pig used to be really mean to her, and always chattering, rumblestrutting, etc. but this time, she showed no dominance what so ever! I'm pretty sure they know eachother, but it's weird how she was so nice! Either 1 she missed her, or 2 she knew she WAS sick, and didn't want her around. We even cleaned the cage and the only slight dominance display was 1 second of mounting, and nothing since. This all happened today btw. I really just wanted to share this so nobody gives there pets to stay at a petsmart vet, for more than a few hours. I'm forever never going to let my guinea pig or any pet visit that vet AGAIN, or shop there.

Looking great!!! I just bought some snowflake lights to hang from the front of the cage. Got all my Xmas fleece and accessories, looking forward to decorating :). I think I've asked you this before but do you think the Shi Lin Tong could be used as an occasional preventative? I'm a bit paranoid about my guys getting bladder stones, even though I do everything in my power to give them the correct low calcium diet and quality hay and pellets.

What happens if you see a milky white substance coming from a guinea pig?
From where?
skinnypigs1 when they pee, I check her nose and eyes and it seems fine, maybe a little bit of crust but it's going away
Calcium is excreted through their urine and gives it a milky appearance. If they are on a high calcium diet, I would be changing things up so they do not have issues with it turning into bladder stones.
What do they get fed?
They got fed veggies such as carrots (on moderation), lettuce (not iceberg), tomato (moderation), broccoli (on rare occasions), green pepper daily as recommended by their vet, and fruits but not daily or often. Hay, such as plain Timothy hay, and this pellets type because I gave them plain and other types of pellets but they will not touch it except certain type of pellets that comes with something else.
You need to be providing them with hay, constantly. HAY HAY HAY

One of my guinea pigs is acting weird she will barely walk, and she's usually really skiddish if i come near the cage. She walks differently, and i picked her up and inspected and felt her legs and she just curled up in my lap (never happened before she usually hates being out of the cage) Im taking her to the vet on saturday, I wish i could do sooner but they're not open this week till saturday so I Just wanted some advice.
So I have 4h once a month and I bring my two boars.
Last time there was another boar so we let them meet.

Rosie Beal I believe she gives them Oxbow hay tablets. they come in Urinary Support, Digestive Support, immune boost, joint support, and multi vitamin.

My Guinea pigs are brothers and one has been humping the other (they are both males) and the one that has been humping his brother had a really big scab on his nose and yesterday I noticed his ear was torn. I think what happened was my one Guinea pig was mad about his brother always following him around and just attacked him. I don't know what I should do if I should get them neutured or not. I put them in separate cages but they started to miss each other so I put them back in together and they were fine for a few weeks but he got hurt again.

Does anyone have any advice:
I recently adopted a male guinea pig; I was told by the shelter that he was six months but the vet said he's only about 8 weeks... I switched him to alfalfa. I took him to the vet because I suspected he had a URI and he's been on antibiotics for about 3 weeks almost. My question is: if I adopt an older male guinea pig, how can I make sure he doesn't eat the alfalfa pellets and hay? Also, if my guinea pig is showing signs of improvement but he still has a sniffly nose, can I introduce him to another guinea pig yet?
Audrie Przybylski no, do not introduce him to a new Guinea pig for at least 2 weeks AFTER he shows no symptoms. illnesses travel very easily between guinea pigs! I'm not sure about how to keep the older one from eating alfalfa though...

skinnypig1 I have two baby guinea pigs right now and I already have a custom built 48 by 24 inch cage. My mom said that once their almost full grown we will buy a cnc cage. is it fine for the guinea pigs to stay in there til there almost fully grown?
If anything, babies run the most so would be beneficial to get the larger cage now.

Please help me ! I have two guinea pigs that are about 2 years old. They are both females and I find that they get EXTREMELY knotted and dirty fur on their butts. I try to clip the HUGE knots off but, I can't get it all. Today I tried to clip off the giant knot and I saw that she had pooped and it was mushy and wet. Not SUPER duper watery but, not normal. I weighed her and she's the same as before. What do I do about the knots ? My parents won't buy me soap to wash her because they say that I can use dawn but I won't do it because I don't want to damage her skin. Is she sick ? What do I do ?
There is no way for me to know what is going on. You'd have to take her to the vets if you are concerned and I would wash their bums with a dab of dawn if that is all you have, that is better than them sitting in a dirty bum. Is their cage a good size? Do you clean it often enough? Do they have hay at all times?
They do have hay at all times and I do clean their cage. Thanks ! I'll wash her with dawn until I get soap later on. I'm not sure if they have the right sized cage. It's from a pet shop yes but it's not as small as normal pet store cages. I'm not sure the actual size of it but, I have been saving up to get them a new one anyways. Thanks for the help !
my 4 make guinea pigs keep arguing, like tumble struting and bum wagging and teeth chattering they all do it how can I split them up so there's no arguing?

Perhaps look in to extending their cage? How big of a cage do you have for 4 males? What is their cage set up like?
