I really wanted guinea pigs but my parents didn’t think I would know enough about them to take care of them and your videos are what helped me learn all about them! I’ve had my piggies for almost 2 months and I love them!
Funny thing is.. What I kinda figured he would look like... that is what he is.. No big surprises lol You guys are a VERY cute couple, even before we got to peek at mr. Skinnypigs. I never knew how interactive guinea pigs were until I brought them home now I can't even have a bag of chips without them going crazy! They're the best but I might rethink having their cage in my bedroom ... 😹😹

Finally you talked about the colour of your hay - I always thought your hay looked weird because it's so green! I'm in New Zealand and meadow hay is the most common in stores. You do get Timothy as well. My pigs love their meadow hay - and I've never had an issue with the hay being coarse or getting hay pokes.
I use timothy and orchard grass.
I love watching them. Never saw a skinny pig before watching your videos. Love them.

Awww so cute I used to have a senior pig at 7 year old and his name was pumpkin. Now I have two hamsters named Faye and Angus named after angus beef and your skinny pig Angus. At one point I was keeping pumpkin in to small of a cage then I saw your video and I switched him over to a Midwest cage with fleece. He passed away by old age and impacted. We helped him get it all out and he was feeling much better that day the next day we had a vet appointment for him but he sadly passed away the next day before the vet appointment. Are used to not keep him alone but his other meat died and he was turning quite old so I didn’t wanna get him a young pig and then have him be alone once pumpkin passes away. Then I got four new guinea pigs all in the right size cage on fleece and I love them so much. You give me a lot of inspiration and I learned a lot from you keep it up

I love your fleece and watching you and your piggies! It has helped me tremendously over the past couple days. We had an apartment fire on Friday, and even though it was just smokey, they would not let me go back for my pigs. My roommates and I were able to get our other animals out, aside from the pigs. So unfortunately the pigs were lost to smoke inhalation, because from what the FD said, the pigs were directly over top of where the smoke originated from. I also lost my bunbun girl Onyx to smoke inhalation and trauma, once I got her outside she started seizing, she stayed with me for an hour, and then I sang to her and she let go in my arms. So your videos have helped me get through this weekend

Da'Vaun Lee I use a mini handheld broom and brush it off before washing.

Organic Meadow Hay usually doesn't have twigs or sharp pieces in it, it was probably a bad bag. It's more like grass, with short, very green and brown pieces, but soft and squishy.
I had 2 small bags and both were full of sticks and very sharp pieces, the pigs didn't want any of it. Was very odd.

i have 2 guinea pigs and my dad and i are really needing to find a better and bigger cage for them. unfortunately they're in the typical "starter pack cage", and i deeply regret not being educated enough about their living space. we can't afford bigger store-bought cages as they're about up to 60-70$ here in the u.s., so my dad wants to build or customize one instead. do you have any suggestions on what material to use for it? i'm sorry if you get this question a lot, i'm fairly new to your channel but i look up to you and watching your videos and clean-ups helped really educate me on guinea pigs. thank you. 😊

you can also get a mid western cage that can fit 2 pigs. if you look at different places it can only be around $40.

Love your videos i would have to say (not as hate just as constructive criticism) the GoPro style of filming can kind of get dizzying. Maybe you can try one of those adjustable tripod that can clip onto the cages
I actually did videos like that in the past, stationary cage cleanings and the negative response was enormous for how much people hated it and only wanted the GoPro. I liked the stationary for a change, was fun but the outcry was overwhelming.
