Oh Lordy! I am currently working on a project with those fabrics! The Christmas 1/2 yard bundle of green and blacks! I’d buy it! So, just this morning I was looking at Jardin Prive patterns and ran across the History of Sheep patterns. Ever since you first showed that piece I’ve loved it. I talked myself out of buying the 4 patterns and lo’n’behold not half an hour later you showed it! Could that be a sign that I’m supposed to stitch it? Like you…I was having a hard time placing it in my house. Don’t beat yourself up over not being in the mood to stitch. You work a job that would wear most of us out! You have such a great style. Glad you managed to get a few things worked on and found time to make a video. Pam

My sister has just started to do that. I love the idea of all of that. I’m sure people would buy it. I have over dyed floss with tea can coffee. It works great. You can let it dry overnight or put it in a 200 degree oven just make sure you watch it so it doesn’t burn.

I love your blue pincushion. I thought it would be a great pumpkin. Put a little real stem in the top and you can set it out as a fall decoration! Love your thrift finds. I am lucky to have a thrift store that is mostly craft items. You would love it!

When I travel for confetti stitches I use one strand and go over the square twice. That way when I travel it’s only one thread and it doesn’t show in the front.

It's great to see you again. I always enjoy seeing what you've been working on either stitching or decorating. Absolutely try your hand at dying the floss. I started last year when Garden Gate was so hard to find and just kept going. I've been using Rit dyes because the result is colorfast, but coffee and tea work well too.
It was so good seeing you again! I remember a recent Brenda Gervais sampler where she mentioned you should coffee dye the threads. I’ll have to look and see if I have the pattern. I know people talked about baking them in the oven to dry them afterwards. That definitely is a great price for fabric!! I would be buying it too if I were there, but I definitely don’t need any more fabric! LOL My spare bedroom is filled with fabric. I’ve been working on Laurie Holt’s flowers appliqué quilt so I haven’t pieced a quilt top recently. Your vignettes and displays are so perfect! I hope you get into stitch con! I think it’s a wonderful idea to go with friends. I went by myself in 2019. I’ve met people there and had a great table mates but I had a lot in common with and it was just pure coincidence/divine providence that we all came together at that table. You will have so much fun and people will be thrilled to meet you! I was born in Ohio and have family in NE Ohio so we turned it into a road trip with our trailer and visited friends and family after StitchCon. We stayed at a nearby state park and my husband hiked and road his bike every day while I went to StitchCon. We even went to the Ark in KY the day before StitchCon.

I would have bought the fabric.... I love fabric...but do not know how to sew. However...I have been making rag wreaths. And now I am going to make a little primitive rag tree. And I have been trying to make yo yos. Do you have an Etsy shop? I would try to resell the things you are finding...
Forgot to add, I have used instant coffee, tea and walnut crystals dissolved in water to over dye floss. Just dip and hang to dry. If you want a mottled look take skein and tie in the might’ve like starting to tie shoelaces and pull kinda tight, then dip. You can always rinse the floss if it is too dark! Fun to do!

You didn’t say which fabric it is, but it kinda looks like Vintage Country Mocha and if it is, I think I have that in both 32 and 36 ct. and would be happy to send you a piece of it if you DO want to complete the side piece. I would have bought the fabric.... I love fabric...but do not know how to sew. However...I have been making rag wreaths. And now I am going to make a little primitive rag tree. And I have been trying to make yo yos. Do you have an Etsy shop? I would try to resell the things you are finding...

Forgot to add, I have used instant coffee, tea and walnut crystals dissolved in water to over dye floss. Just dip and hang to dry. If you want a mottled look take skein and tie in the might’ve like starting to tie shoelaces and pull kinda tight, then dip. You can always rinse the floss if it is too dark! Fun to do!
