Thank you! I just bought 1 weight 100% linen. I tried swatching , and found all of your comments to be completely true!

I just bought linen and have no idea what pattern to use. I would like to make a sweater or top. Do you have any links to easy beginner patterns? Thanks! 🙂

This is a very helpful video! You mentioned that linen does ok with frogging. Have you ever unraveled something knitted from 100% linen and reused the yarn for a different project? I've done this with wool several times, steaming over a kettle to straighten the yarn before reusing the yarn for a new sweater. Do you think this would work with linen yarn? Many thanks.

Love your choice of patterns (including those in your Ravelry account)! May I also suggest the Deschain? I just completed it using a linen yarn that is not like the Quince & Co. Kestrel …I used stashed Punta Yarns Montoya Beach. The resulting fabric was much more see through, but I was able to wear the sweater to a wedding, over a sleeveless tank and palazzo pants. Cheers!

Hi Kaila! Deschain is such a great pattern! I would have included it except for the fact that I didn't think that 14 sts/4" would be possible in the BC Garn Lino! I'd love to see a photo of your Deschains if you'd like to share in the group. I could totally see this is a nice open gauge breezy layer for the summer.

Well linnen comes from flax that is a type of plant. Sometimes the Woody parts of the plant gets stuck to the fibers when processed
