All the new young hot prodigies w/ the perfect timing and perfect phrasing (many of whom I enjoy), but this is one of the groups that made that possible.

First heard this tune on a jazz festival (Jacksonville?) on PBS in the early 90s, my introduction to your music-totally blown away!

Frank gambale is a monster on lead guitar. Hes also a nice guy i met him once.
Frank is the gentleman of guitar legends for sure.
I met him too some years ago at MX City. Down to earth dude, a true gentleman. Oh, and a music giant also.
I met him too outside the Blue Note. A friend and I got tickets for the late performance, so we went to grab a slice and, who was walking on Mcdougal st heading towards the club for the 8pm performance? Frank! He took a few minutes to chat with us, very nice guy.

As much as I've played some stuff, I will forget the strangest things but remember stuff that you'd think would be easy to forget. You can see the doubt on Frank's face when Chick calls it. A real, "oh shit" moment. Funny, since they've played this a lot over the last few years but hey, the boss went to the wrong section and stomped on Frank's solo so :) It's rehearsal. I bet on the next gig, they played it slicker than a baby's ass. Can't wait for the new album coming soon!!!!
