Subbed! I am still playing with WASD and QE to strafe. I know I need to change but it’s so hard to rewire like 15 years of MMO muscle memory.

It's cause Rogue's dont really scale that high compared to other classes, so our dmg is very good at the beginning, OP even, and then it tapers down to a consistent good dmg.

Here’s something I have bound a little differently, kick(mouse over macro) to mouse wheel up and feint mouse wheel down, I use a shift modifier for camera zoom on mouse wheel.
i feel like that could get difficult in a big pack hahah
hand position and movement on the keyboard is so important, in my case i have some abilities bound to WASD with shift and alt modifiers, i mean my fingers are already positioned on those keys anyways

Hello, I've been following you for a while and you've been a great help on my outlaw. I have a quick question, I just looted a heroic grieftorch and I'm curious where in your rotation you would use it. I was thinking after stealth opener and dance, when rtb starts to fall off?
If you looking for another possible improvement using q and e to strafe makes shit way smoother and gives you better access to 1-5 and I use asd as key binds instead of movement

It is outdated.. I tried it, it doesn't work correctly, you can check yourself. In wago it shows that aura is for shadowlands, last updated 2022 nov 24, so I suspect it doesn't take into account new talents because with acrobatic strikes you stand at max range from dummies, you reaching them with you single target abilities counter shows 0, use BF and you will see that it does dmg to dummies but counter still 0, number starts to increase if you getting closer to dummies. So, it doesn't work as intended because it doesn't take into account range increase talents and "makes" you think that BF range is sh... and you think that you have to stand in middle of the pack.

Since you moved abilities to Q and E im assuming strafe is on A and D now?.. thats one of the things thats gunna bother me if i start moving things around lol
I was just thinking yesterday that I haven't updated my keybinds since classic where I had Q as my Earth Shock (which used to be the Shaman interrupt) and since then Q is my interrupt on all classes, and E is dispell (Purge) spells, even though they're not used very often. I'm totally gonna take your advice and try to put main skills on Q and E instead. Thanks

I use my mouse buttons for my damage and the keybinds you mention q e r x, etc i use for kick gouge tricks, trinket, fient. Do you think I should switch and not use the mouse buttons for damage?
I think dmg buttons are more efficient on keyboard but I know some pvpers bind dmg to mouse so honestly that is fine I think as long as you have accessible buttons on either hand you’re fine

In Dragonflight I have noticed my button pressing has been off, like it might be because my pc is too old now or something since I notice it waaaay more in raid. I will be pressing a key too early/quickly and then move onto the next action e.g. I am at max cp so I hit my dispatch, then I go to hit pistol shot/ambush/ss to build for my next finisher only for that previous dispatch to not have actually cast - since binding cold blood to dispatch it has become super noticeable due to CB not being on the gcd. Super frustrating and feels like I am having to slow down a lot or I waste a lot of cps. I tried changing that spellquewindow but it actually made it worse.

@@shantiana593 I am very lucky since my WoW says my MS is 4-6 usually on OCE servers, goes up to 200 odd on US servers.

I'm not sure how people ever play anything using wasd, I been using asdx for over 20 years in gaming. It's always allowed for easier keybinds right above plus the numbers. Also feels more comfy for me personally to have my fingers in a row instead of uneven.

Hi I've been wondering what to do about my spellqueuewindow. I play from AUS and most of the groups I join are US based so my ping in their groups is sitting around 200 world ping. The ping itself is fine but I'm unsure what to set my spellqueuewindow to. On your written guide it says the formula is pingX4 or 175-ping which with 200 ping isn't possible. What should I be setting it to in this situation?

Hey, u say that "The biggest improvement in me playing outlaw came when I swapped my main damage binds from 1-5." And u playing on MMO mouse, so u swap those key when u dont have MMO mouse or before that u playing only with MMO mouse?. Just an ask fot clarify cause i use MMO mouse too but have a different setup and i dont think is working properly. Thanks you 😁
i swapped keybinds from 1-5 to q,e,r way before i got an mmo mouse. Mouse came months later to save me from the horrible ATL and SHIFT binds

Outlaw isnt hard, but you could also play sub which is even easier and will do way more damage in nearly every key
This is false sub doesn’t do way more damage in every key. If you’re playing sub and outlaw perfect they will either end the same or very very close together and sub dmg is mostly pad anyway so it isn’t that great. Outlaw is not easy and only like 1% of the rogue population can play it perfectly
