From experience (I have climbed all the Munros), An Riabhachan is one of the most neglected of Munros, yet has long ascents on either side of the ridge. I only remember it from a walk in the mist. You did well to conquer it, and thank you for this video.
Dave & Lisa, great effort especially at the beginning of the day in the rain and clag. It’s a bloody long way. Impressed you found a footpath and bridges after the boatman dropped you off. I remember an arduous slog over the rough stuff to the top of the first Munro. And you had the boat all to yourself. Our trip was so overloaded a capsize was a real possibility!😱 We had a clear day but big black clouds were chasing us from the west all day. Keep on trogging, we love your videos.👍😀
Hi Kevin, Kind words thank you. Yeah crossing the peat bogs was a bit of a challenge, navigating the bog and the clag was a wee added bonus! Good practice. We managed to hit the ascent more or less where we’d hoped. ATB L&D 😊👍
Great adventure guys, especially with the boat trip thrown in as well. I’m pleased the cloud lifted for you too, nice reward for your efforts! Enjoyed watching😊 Cheers. Mark
Absolutely brilliant. Well done guys - I love Loch Mullardoch. And the drive in through the glen. What a place. Superb atmospheric conditions - did look spooky!!!
Another great wee watch that brought back memories. Have done it twice - once with the long walk back and once with the boat out - and know which I’d choose for a third round 😉😉 Keep them coming 👍👍
Great watch guys, lovely music.Still to go in for these 4 and been told they are quite tough. Was in the other side of these ones a few weeks ago for the Glen Strathfarrar ones. Thanks for sharing.😀👍
That looked like a tough day so well done guys. I've never done the 4 together. Did An Socach on it's own from Iron Lodge and the other 3 together from the very top of Glen Strathfarrar and I found that tough enough especially with being on the clock to get back before the glen closed, made it with 5 mins to spare. Cheers.
Hi Alan, Yeah I felt that one. As you can see.. MrsO smashed it as normal! We actually met a couple from Edinburgh up there who’d came from the Strathfarrar side. They had to cut the route short in order to get back before “curfew” Thanks again for watching. 😊👍
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 I did wonder at the time what would have happened if I'd gone on and bagged An Socach and been a few hours late back. Would I have been locked in all night or given a severe ticking off, we will never know!
Don’t always get the views, but still a good work out. Glad it opened up a bit for you both at the end. Always nice to get a boat ride.Great video editing as always. ATB Frank.
When the clag is down you notice the things that are closer more, like lichen on rocks. That was a really squelchy bog at 02:12 but isn't it lovely when you realise the clag is lifting & the views open up. Had a misty start myself in the Lake District on the Eastern Fells a few days ago & then it is so dramatic when it lifts. Another cracking video guys. Take care till next time
I think you’re 100% spot on, you do actually see more of that element. Yeah absolutely brilliant when you suddenly shake off the clouds ☁️. Thanks for watching as always Michael. L&D 😊🌻
Top day out D&L. I'm glad it cleared up for you as that would be a long day in the clag. I see Angus has got himself a faster boat. 😆 How far did you GoPro fall? Shocking sending Lisa to fetch the camera by the way.😂
Great video. Had planned to do these 4 with a high bivi the same weekend (I believe) but choose beinn na lap at corrour and a low tent camp instead. Looks like it wasn’t as bad as forecast which is good. Gordon

I did this walk 4 weeks ago, it's a big day and the walk out is the work of the devil.
Yeah it’s a bit of a beast that’s for sure. Thanks for watching William. 😊👍
Great place to be…. This was my back yard and you’re not far from my village… paddle this loch many times…. 👍👍
It is indeed. Here and Glen Affic.. both equally stunning. 😊🌻
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 yes agreed, Glen Affric another amazing place… I lived in Tomich and loved it so many places to walk and paddle…

Thanks Dave .. 😊🙌⛅️
how long is the walk in approx if you dont use the boat , cheers
No idea! The route only the Loch doesn’t look good though. 👍
Is it possible to do the Mullardoch four, camp at the west end of the loch, then do the Affric munros the next day?
Yes it is. I’m sure there’s routes on Walkhighlands. 👍

I was burst it has to be said! MrsO does a share of collecting the camera but I do the most of it! Honest!! 😂
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 haha, we need to get dogs to fetch the cameras for us. 🐶
…GoPro didn’t fall far but smashed the back screen to shit. New screen or new GoPro I think..

Thank you! 😄🙏 Yeah forecast wasn’t ideal but we’d booked the boat so went for it anyway. Turned out okay in the end. Tough day though.😊👍☔️
Is this where your GoPro met its untimely demise?

Another great video, thanks. Can I ask what trousers you are both wearing please? They seem to be weather proof?
Thanks Paul. Montane Mens Terra Pant Baltic Blue/Ink. It was so warm we couldn’t bring ourselves to put our waterproof trousers on. 😊
I did my SML in that area😁
Nice place for it. 😊💪
Using a boat is cheating , same with all this biking. Does nobody walk the munros any more?
Cheating! That just depends on what you want out of it and what you’re trying to achieve!! 🧐😊
