- A Afternoon trip to the woods this is my first trip to the wood for 2024, I get the Fire going, setup a hammock and have a few brews with a good old army Ration for lunch, Smoke a Pipe and have a chat about what's going on and plans for 2024.

@@davidfriars it's funny you should ask that. I was just looking at my Channel today and it has been one year and one month since I have made a video. It's amazing how fast that time went by. I can't believe it's been that long. I was thinking the other day it would be nice to get out and make one. Maybe I'll do just that this weekend. I hope you and your family are well.

I just picked up the SAK Forester as well, albeit with the plastic scales (I couldn't do without the tweezers!). It's a really nice bit of kit, will be getting a lot of use in my upcoming adventures.

Thanks Barney, The forester is great I really like it and for the money it is well worth it, I pickup the wooden scales version just because of the way it looks and I enjoyed sanding them down and re oiling them. once January out of the way hopefully things will get back to normal.

Hiya Dave, not that I need one, but, just a thought after your little demo with packing the hammock does that mean there will be a box pouch in different sizes suitable for packing hammocks into and fitting in with the system?

I use three Zoid bags from Mystery Ranch. Small, medium and a large.
Zipping and unzipping all your bags to find a lighter would drive me crazy!!!
We all have our own ways doing stuff , if we was all the same life would be boring.

Keep your videos coming David, love your laid back approach to them, going through your gear etc. You don’t even need a lot of commentary in them, just seeing you enjoy being in the woods or at a camp with your Landy satisfies my lack of camping myself nowadays. Just wish I could get out more myself! I’ll be ordering some more pouches from you soon, so I hope business picks up for you as well.

I've had a bushcraft hiatus for about 6 years and have recently got the bug back again. 48 soon and ex British infantry like a lot of guys that enjoy it bla bla bla so not getting any younger so need to spend more time amongst the trees eigh.
I find your vids mint mate, very chilled and not an in your face type of geezer so keep at it ffs. Love the content ;)

Totally agree with not having adds mate, great to see you out and about again, As you know I try to get out in the woods even for a day for bacon, banta and good company.. I need to do more overnighters this coming year. t's been a good while since we have had a decent dibble.
