I replace all the scales eventually anyway. Plus, you can get very nice scales with tweezers, toothpick, pen slots which can be used for other tools, firefly, etc.
Do you own any Alox? If not, I suggest to try them. They look and feel very different. So different, that I don't mind carrying an extra Swiss Card in my wallet or a 58 mm Vic on my keys for the small tools. The 84 mm Alox knives (Cadet, Bantam) are incredibly thin, and the 93 mm ones (Pioneer, Farmer etc) feel a lot more robust than the Cellidor knives, even the blade and the big screw driver are bigger in every dimension.
I want to love the pioneer x but I honestly don’t use scissors very often. What are you guys doing with scissors that you can’t do with a knife blade? 🤔
It’s because scissors do some things far better and more safely than a knife: such as cutting your nails, removing hang nails, Irish pendants, hanging threads, cutting paper, etc.
Cutting nails, cutting of clothes tags, opening plastic food packaging, cutting paper with precision, shortening annoying heirs on my beard, cutting of the bandage or medical patch. There is a lot of things you can cut just easier and more safely with scissors than with a blade. And Victorinox do great scissors, so it is super handy to have them, at least for me. Cheers!
This is my model and I love it. I barely use the blade. I use the reamer to open packages. The scissors are useful too. Great piece of kit.

Nice video; great knife. I am looking for a Pioneer X with colored scales; almost any color will be okay. Where did you get yours? When? Thannks.

Anything that needs to be cut with precision..like the tag when you tie a hook
I love the scissors.
