I think Shauna's parents definitely encourage her insecurities by treating her as incapable. I don't really understand the attitude that she can't take care of herself. There are so many little people with jobs, date large people, live by themselves, even drive motorcycles and scooters, go to school, etc. On the episode when her sisters set up online dating for her it broke my heart when the first question her mom asked was "Do they know how tall you are?" Like what the heck, do you seriously want that to be the first thing she thinks about ALL THE TIME?? And why in the word would they go dress shopping when it is super easy to make dresses or have them made? These people are just soo infuriating.

Shauna you could have had a knitted bridesmaid dress made for you that fits your body and other outfits made. Or learn how to sew or knit or crochet clothes. Become a fashion designer not only for you and for other shorter people.
I started sewing as a teenager for similar reasons - at 5', I could find fitting clothes (that I don't have to alter _that_ much), but I have a large bust which makes it impossible for woven clothes in combination with small frame. I'm 38 now and could have sewn my own wedding dress, but sometimes you just want to buy something from the rack and not have all the work with it. Especially festive clothes - those fine fabrics are difficult to work with. And all the hassle! It was nice to have someone else do all the alterations for a change.

I made a dress out of satin for my high school graduation, and I needed a lot of help from my aunt, and it was not breathable or easy to move in. I have different challenges as I have what they call a "marfanoid habitus" meaning my limbs are very long and bony, but unlike those with marfan syndrome, my torso is shorter than average putting me at an average height but not average proportions. If all the dresses are mismatched, then using an easier to work with fabric in the right style and colour shouldn't be an issue.
So have one made. She isn't living in Beverly Hills, so it shouldn't be that expensive. She made over 100K for that season. I don't think her having a whole wardrobe made would be an issue. Plus hasn't it been stated she herself is a decent seamstress? She should be fully capable of making her own.
