Yeah, this girl has a great figure, most things would look pretty good on her. Idk why the consultant is acting like she has some incredibly unusual body type that will be hard to dress. If someone was actually 6'1" and a size zero like the model she described, that girl would have a much harder time shopping at Kleinfeld! I'm 5'10" and already have to order extra length for formal gowns. Not to mention that size at that height would be very underweight, you'd have to pick a gown to mask bony arms and collar bone, bony hips, lack of curves, etc.

Funnily enough I have done many wedding shows including a few for Kleinfeld's and most I had to wear ballet flats as I was too tall for the dresses. And yes I do have bony hips and a lack of curves but muscular arms and a perfectly fine collar bone if I do say so myself. I am 6ft 1, have a 37 inch inseam and weigh 145lbs but most of the dresses those wedding shows push for 5-figure costs fit me fine so hence all the clips they use to fit these ladies.

Saying something won't look good doesn't show your expertise. If you don't think it will look good, let her put it on and let HER say she doesn't like it. I just feel like she missed the mark on everything and budget is important.
I'm not a person who enjoys when people get fired, but of all the consultants who either resigned or got fired, cough-cough, I'm sort of relieved that Claudia eventually left. Not only was shen't good at her job, but she showed no improvement in wanting to be good at her job, both on a personal and professional level.

This is the first time I've seen an episode with this designer, Melissa Sweet. A very pretty dress. The mother and sister chose well. It's nice to see a dress you've never seen before on the show.
Claudia doesn't seem to have learned the bridal consultant role. She's got her hair pulled into a gym style ponytail, talks as if shes hanging out in the street. She needed more training, especially in decorum.
I remember watching Claudia and thinking,”This isn’t going to work out.” She didn’t take instruction from her bosses very seriously. She always thought her way was the right way. In one of the episodes when Consultants’ sales numbers were being reviewed it was evident Claudia needed to heed the guidance she was expected to learn from. She never did. “…at the end of the day…” REALLY drove me up a wall. I always wondered if she was more successful in a smaller salon, or maybe a different type of sales.
The person who hired Claudia should never be allowed to hire another person ever. I nailed her the minute she opened her mouth, and I think many others did, too. Her ego doesn't allow for anybody else to be in the room with her.
Claudia is that person who will tell you exactly how she thinks you look. Might be good for your “entourage” but too direct for consultant and a bit of a know-it-all.

When a customer is going to be shopping for such a special (and expensive) item, ask tons of questions: White? Winter white, cream, blush , cool white, other, etc? Bling? Big bling? Little bling? Where do you want bling? No bling? Beading? Victorian? Art deco? 80s ? Venue? Time of day? Season of year? General dress code? What fabric? What waist? What skirt? What neck? What sleeves? Any other details, like family heirlooms that will be worn? Jewelry, veil, etc? Did you bring pictures for inspiration? How will you wear your hair? ------ Seriously, a consultant should be doing a full CIA interrogation before pulling the first dress.
While I don't disagree generally, the brides on SYTTD are extensively vetted online and all of this AND the budget would (should?) have already been known.

We could all cut Claudia some slack. It was, after all, one of her first days being a consultant and everybody is allowed a couple of mistakes. What bothers me more, though, is her manager's behavior and attitude toward her new employee: she (the manager) was being passive aggressive and obnoxious (and no, the manager didn't pull the right gown, either).

Claudia is a problem but that mom was awful. The girl really liked that one dress and her mom was just cruel.
First off the bride is super skinny, so her saying that made no sense….🫤🤦🏾♀️ And I agree that let the bride pick what dress she wants and not what you think as a consultant suits her body better…🥴😩

We could all cut Claudia some slack. It was, after all, one of her first days being a consultant and everybody is allowed a couple of mistakes. What bothers me more, though, is her manager's behavior and attitude toward her new employee: she (the manager) was being passive aggressive and obnoxious (and no, the manager didn't pull the right gown, either).

Wtf? "Unless you're 6'1 and a size 0 it won't work." Seriously? I'm 5'1 and 145 lbs, definitely not a 0 but I found a dress (not wedfing) that I was told made me look like a Greek Goddess. So, get $%^&ed

Claudia, you have no clue what the bride does or doesn't like for one reason. YOU DON'T LISTEN! You care too much about impressing everyone instead of listening. You are not the world's answer to bridal consulting. The world would like you much more if you had an ounce of humility.
