Canada just announced Two New immigration pilot Programs, with RNIP becoming a permanent program

  • Immigration Minister, Marc Miller revealed plans to make the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) a permanent program, citing its success since its inception in 2019.
    The RNIP, which has been crucial in bolstering rural and northern economies, is currently accepting applications until August 2024.
    Additionally, Miller announced two new pilots aimed at promoting immigration to francophone communities, set to launch this fall:
    the Rural Community Immigration Pilot
    and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot.
    These initiatives aim to address the unique economic and demographic challenges faced by rural and northern regions, as well as to improve immigration opportunities for French speakers.
