Thank you for sharing. I was going to ask if you have success stories with international students who are completing their first Bachelors program but thank you for highlighting that ‘mature’ students who already have a degree stand better chances.

Hello. I'm here after your insta video regarding PR before graduation. Right now I'm in Edmonton (Alberta) studying PRACTICAL NURSE for international educated nurses, just completed my first semester. I was Registered nurse in my home country ( India) had a valid 8 years experience. Now my query is regarding PR before graduate. Am I eligible ? If not than what are the other possibilites for future?
I'm not trying to be mean as I send you this. I'm telling you what many lifelong Canadians have experienced recently. Maybe it will shed a light somewhere in regards to 2024 changes. Until 2020 (pandemic), most Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. During the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates to rise. Rental costs soared too. Simultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) 395 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED!!! In 2023 alone, averaging 2,000 per day across Canada. MASS immigration desires/demands have been hard on everyone, not just migrators. The majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus all Canadians now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. Flocking to a education system that was not designed to be all about every international student wanting a permanent ability to be in Canada. With most also wanting to bring family over too. All Canadians know what's truly going on now because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To most Canadians it has felt like a huge tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. A situation that never existed 5 years ago. Hospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare, creating greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways never seen in people's lifetimes. Now westerners want the money greedy agents in other countries to stop MARKETING & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy (to get). And for any people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're getting greedy too. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). Not all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE colleges are really being investigated now (including looking for strong oversea ties). Canadians are meeting students who showed Canada they have enough $ to live in Canada, but it turns out they borrowed it (without being able to spend it). Canadian food banks and other charity services have been recklessly advertised on TH-cam (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes (registered in your name) are now never replaced (unlike b4). Due to 2 or 3 students falsely using one pass. Canadian homes are being purchased or used to put multiple 'students-only' in them, as more and more Canadians become homeless. Then this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). Canadians are so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is very happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this). Now there is a net zero approach. One international student can only enter Canada if one leaves. PS Canadians are aware that some WONDERFUL students are going through hell (which hurts our hearts). And we know Canada is partially to blame. But bottom-line, Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians see people from other countries protesting in Canada, making demands (due to Canada pumping it's immigration breaks)? Yes. PLUS certain diaspora are stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. So what's fair?? If 37,000,000 Canadians moved to India since 2020, with goal of gaining jobs & being able to stay in India, that would raise India's population 2.65%. International students after permanent residency (using a back door) raised Canada's population 2.65%. Its being stopped for HUGE reasons.
