You deserve more views! This review(at least for me) was incredibly clear, objective(with some opinion added, and made clear) and overall just realistic. I also noticed the target aspar came in quite low on your chart...i just got one to try, ive been playing a Blade 6 TC... and am really disappointed with the aspar. The reviews i saw all said the aspar is a harder board(and heard complaints the blade 6 tc was too soft)... i have quite the opposite experience, as my blade is a wonderful piece of gear, and the aspar... so soft 90% of my dart points drive all the way to the backing or go to the barrel(with short points). I digress.... thank you for the wonderful, in depth review! Honest, objective, crystal clear. Subscribing now.
🙏 you're welcome. It isn't a bad board and imho a very good one. I expect it to be a good dartboard with the same "bottleneck" actual new models seem to have like Bandit Gen 4 and Bulls 7.01: softer and ideally played with smooth points
For some time now I've used the Shot Outlaw boards. They're perfectly decent and a lot cheaper than Bandits, Blades or (my former favorites) Eclipse Pros. I recently purchased a new board and immediately noticed it's significantly softer than any previous board (be it Shot or anyone else) I've played. It's so soft I find my short points are not long enough to keep the barrel from hitting the face of the board. Needless to say I'm not Impressed and will be looking for alternatives next time I go board shopping. Shot are going down hill fast :(
Seems a littlebit like that, yes. It can be, that we get softer boards because new players don't change the standard smooth points most of new darts come with? I'm happy that I could test and play the new TOR in a dartshop recently. It is NOT that soft as many boards and some reviewers said. Imho it is softer than the Aspar but harder than the Winmau Blade 6 DC. So - medium packed and felt like a Bandiz Duro which i think, is potentially good 👍
No issues with my Shot Bandit Gen 4, i bought it when it was released and been using it for almost 2 months , playing 1-2 hrs a day and other than 1 tiny strand of sisal coming out the board, there's very little wear, but then i only use smooth points. I guess time will tell how well it holds up in 6 months time.
Yes that's the point: these boards (like the Bulls Asvantage oder Mission Infinity) are made for smooth points to last. If you're playing with boardgrip - even simple nano's - you'll see immediately how you pull out sisal
Yes, I've also the 7.01 .. besides the logos and numberring, the 7.01 is nearly like the Bandit Gen.4. The spider is a little higher. But it's softness, colors, even the backboard and quality check stamps are the same. Imho one of the best homedartboards is the Winmau DC. If you want to spend less money, I think a GOAT everscore is fairly priced. And meanwhile you get a Mission Infinity at lower prices in the right pricerange

This was not what I expected, yet I guess I am not really surprised. Thanks for the through review!

Thanks for the review... Have you tried the 701? And in your opinion which is the best board on the market?
