    We need a dedicated AirPort Express rail link to nyc.

      No say the port authority will allow it …. You can take the a train to jfk … and they tried it in the 1980 ‘s and it cuts down regular a , c, e services

      Agreed. Of NYC's major airport, EWR is always my last choice.

    Port Authority did a great job of rebuilding LaGuardia Airport, which was worse than JFK.

    Lots of people are moving out!!!!

      Doesn't matter. NYC tourism is up so even if the people move out the city will generate enough taxes to remain the 3rd richest state.

      Even with people moving out of New York, the metro area still has well over 23 million people. What's your point in making that comment? Are you suggesting that if we end up with only 22 million people, then NYC won't need well functioning airports? Be gone with your ridiculous statements.

    There are no flights to Australia from JFK yet, so the continent count is off.

    • @alexanderjerouf2584
      @alexanderjerouf2584 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Usually direct flights to Australia are on the west side and the distance between nyc and au it’s more than 7000nm and the only air craft who is capable of that distance is Airbus A380 and unfortunately it never been ordered or operated by any us based airlines due it size

    • @afcgeo882
      @afcgeo882 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@alexanderjerouf2584 The A380 cannot fly that distance. JFK to SYD is 8,646 nmi. The A380 maximum range is 8,000 nmi.
      The longest A380 non-stop between the US and Australia was SYD-DFW.
      The 777X is supposed to be able to pull off the JFK to Australia routes.

      @@alexanderjerouf2584 This is not true. JFK recently widened their runways and they now have a nonstop 8,260nm route to Singapore on the Airbus A350-900, which is only 60nm shorter than the distance to Brisbane. With a slightly reduced seating capacity, it is a feasible route.

      @@zayyyNYC There is also a daily Qantas flight to Auckland, but none of that is Australia.

    This shows how even the best laid plans can lead to mistaken construction. This video with the plans laid out about 18 months ago show that terminal 1, with its 23 gates with 22 able to handle the A380 is already out of date. The A380 has ceased production and only 129 flying, with over half of them are owned by Emirates with 88 (and most are not going to JFK). So you have a large new terminal, with relatively few gates (23), hosting normal sized planes in 2030 not using the extra space where instead it could have more gates. Terminal 4 with its 54 gates will much more wisely use the space it has for the foreseeable future. The 747-800, the second biggest jet will be on the decline by that point so the large Terminal 1 gates will be underutilized.

    Human Rights Watch should put an eye in this airport. There are really bad things happening there with the workers the land attendants towards passangers. I was victim in this airport last may 25 of 2024 of a female land attendant that didn't let me take my flight. I scream and yell full of panic a fear asking for the police or an emigration officer because the JFK it was my first scale after a 6 hours first flight. Nobody showed up stayed trapped there all day I lost two more flights and a lot of money. Now the psychological and physical damage to me and my spouse are breaking and destroying our lives. I can't accept that after all that are not consequences for the flight attendant that caused all this pain and damage
