I mean from a different perspective this could be a helluva story. Imagine we see this trama induced mind breaking mess from inside the game, but frim the outside we watch this case of the VR bandit, planting VR headsets on people's doorsteps only to put these people into comatose states and their body seems to be still getting its daily intake of proteins and vitamins.
Kinger was barely hurt, only with a few scars and bruises Gangle is.. certainly different. Perhaps Caine forced her to use multiple personalities, altering her overall behavior, and eventually her body. Ragatha is twisted and stitched with longer limbs and body parts, starting to make her unrecognizable. Jax was horribly mutated, he suffered the worst fate due to his resistance and wreaking havoc in Caine's Adventures. But it seems even in that horrible form, he still resists.
