I didn’t see anything bad… just nature doing her thing😊 your plot has a real cottage garden vibe, I love it❤ big hugs on your loss tho hun never easy xx
Thank you. Yes hit me hard losing Chester as just was not expected and nature has done her thing with the plot. Glad it’s got a cottage garden feel on the plot as it’s exactly the look I was aiming for.
So sorry about Chester. I totally relate to the pain you’re feeling. When you flipped the camera to show us the “mess”, all I felt was delight at the beauty of the lavender etc. Such a lovely plot. Everything looks so green and healthy. Even the cucumbers don’t look too bad! I suspect they’ve not been enjoying the colder overnight temperatures, even though they’re outdoor varieties. Calendula is so striking but definitely grows thicker and taller than I expected. Some of my plants have stayed compact, others gone nuts.. all the same seed… but we all want the summer jungle and it’s part of the joy. Love those beans. Lovely harvest Emma. ❤
Thank you Clare. The beans are coming thick and fast. The lavender is very good at hiding the weeds. 😂 Yes losing Chester was a bit of a shock as wasn’t at all expecting it
Thank you yes was a shock losing Chester. He had been my companion for so long. I just wish weeding was always on high speed but it seems to always take hours 😂
So sorry for your loss. It's amazing how fast you got control again! Flowers are amazing. You can really wack back the calendula, and it comes back quick.
I think I’m going to take it all out to be honest as it’s swamping everything. I’m loving all the flowers. It’s one thing that I wanted to do this year and I’m so pleased with the result
@@GardenofEmma The best part of Calendula in my garden beyond the pretty.....it's a trap crop for aphids. The little stinkers go for it over my other plants. So you might want to think about that before pulling all of it. Again your flowers are just lovely.
Oh Emma, i am sooo sorry you lost your little buddy. It's so hard when they have to go 😢Big hug from me ❤ Well, the plot doesn't look that bad. You will have it back to look great again in no time.
Sorry for the loss of Chester Emma, only just getting round to catching up with you. Yes it's amazing how much everything grows when you're away, just beginning to tackle mine. It looked much better at the end and you had a great harvest. Take care 😊
So sad for the loss of your dog! ❤😢 I had the same issue with the plot a couple of weeks ago because I went on holiday for a week, I'm still playing catch-up!
😂😂😂 oh my Ems there is just a few calendula so they should be pollinating everything with all bees 🐝 it’s attracting. Yes wish they were a wee bit smaller. Def pick now I like about 6” size and then you’ll get more. Awesome corguettes 👍👍. All looking fantastic Ems you done good sister, Ali 🌤️🇨🇦
Thank you Ali. Yes really pleased with the flowers this year. I think I will remove the calendula though as it has swamped the peppers and tomatoes that are growing there too
I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet fur baby! I think your garden is wildly beautiful - something interesting everywhere one looks.
Thank you so much for your kind words. He was a loyal companion for many years. The garden is blooming this time of year isn’t it, and so much to pick

Your garden is beautiful. Especially the squash (courgettes) and flowers.💚🌟

Sorry about your loss of Chester. I am one of the weird ones who like to watch weeding on high speed. It's so satisfying.

Thank you Bethan. He was a good companion. Yes the allotment is much better order now 😀
I am so sorry to hear about your little Chester. I don''t see any mess Emma it''s all looking great.
Thank you Cheryl. He had a good life though but so hard. The lavender does a good job at hiding the weeds 😂
Looks like sweet peas are loving the weather this year, Emma. More good than bad or ugly so it can't be bad LOL
The sweet peas look amazing. Last year they were awful so just goes to show what a change of location can do
Fantastic sweet peas Emma 👌 Not looking too bad overall. I didn't get any cucumbers this year 😢👌💪👍❤️
It’s a strange year this year for growing. So much is behind
So sorry for your loss ❤ Your greenhouse is like my hoop house - left alone for a couple of weeks and it was a jungle haha.
I can’t even get in properly. Going to have some serious cutting back
I didn’t see any bad everything is looking great 👍🏾 the calendula are lovely, the courgettes are beautiful even your beans are doing well.
Oh thank you Stella. I have caught up a lot now but I think I will take the calendula out
@@GardenofEmma ohhh 😧 they look so beautiful any chance you will try to transplant them?
I’m going to try but definitely taking out of the greenhouse

My little boy 💔
My cucumbers not grow this year either. Like yours, not climbing. No fennel growing anywhere near mine.
Oh that’s good to know. Yes they don’t seem to be doing much at all. At least I have a few mini munch ones
Chester ❤😢
Yes my little old boy has left me devastated 🥲
