@@dlrowWOLFnah bastard was worse. Way worse. This was both cohesive and uncohesive at the same time. Nah nah should have been on CMIYGL. His singing is bad. Just bad. It was charming on IGOR but it just doesn’t work on this album for me. For any artist this is a 6-7 out of 10, but for Tyler, this is honestly a 4-5 for me. Idk if I was overhyped or not but I’m disappointed.
HOT TAKE :- Personally the first two minutes of sticky weren't that good should've made it 3 mins or sum cutting off sexyy red she didn't add to value and the song started getting good from lil Wayne overall good song(my opinion)

St-chroma is my favourite off the album. The themes off this album were really more intricate than I expected. Especially how his mother stopped his dad from being in his life.
@@piedtheoriginal2282I still think he’s right tho to an extent. So far all I’ve seen is either love or hate. Personally I love it. Wayne is always a great pick. Only problem is that it’s to damn small. It should’ve been a longer song imo. I’m so happy for this album tho straight heat.
My fav song was rah tah tah just because of the line “can’t drive a hellcat shit don’t cost enough” as a car person I genuinely jumped out of my seat shitt is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I gave it a 7 first listen then bumped it to an 8, just wish he dove into the chromakopia concept more. An album like this where he raps about this personal life is great, but I expected a narrative
i believe it’s a 6.5/10. missed the mark for me and some of his vocal performances weren’t my favorite. maybe it’ll grow on me, but after listening i really am a little bummed. sadly, im not the target audience for this project and that’s okay. still some great songs on here, 100%
St. Chroma definitely makes the album better but only an addition to the other songs, but still one of the more better songs in chromakopia for me even though i haven't listened to the other songs
Chromokopia Album Review It's always a gift to get a new Tyler album for us to hear, and this was still matched the quality that he's been consistently delivering throughout the past 7 years. Song writing, production, world building, and transitions are all way above average. My only problem with this album is how it was advertised and shown off to be. To me, this was supposed to be a very experimental, hard hitting, explosive album. With the first trailer for it literally being a masked Tyler leading people in all black into a storage container and then blowing it up. The album content isnt bad, but it did not meet those expectations. The content matter in this album ranges from being in love with a girl, to dont trust women, to then fucking a girl on the song, to then saying the pussy is sticky, but then talking about how his mom says Tyler looks and acts like her dad, to then saying how people thought Tyler was dead. To me, the order of songs makes no sense, and what's the correlation to St Chroma and Chromokopia? How does this content matter compare to Tyler leading people on a plane, or dancing on a fighter jet, to then being in a dark room with masked Tyler staring at the camera creepily? There's quite literally a part in Judge Judy where you hear sex. And then it goes to how Tyler loves his mom. In a vaccum, these songs are very solid, but as an album I have no idea where it's going or what it is. The songs themselves are gems. Most of them are layed back chill songs to vibe and sing along to. With beautiful instrumentals sprinkled throughout. That's one of my favorite things Tyler does, it makes the beats fresh throughout the song. He'll sprinkle in little bits that are only in that one section and don't return, making every point in the song refreshing, which makes me want to listen to the entire thing. The dynamic of the songs within their own right are incredible too. How they change throughout, and the transitions into the next song. I was expecting explosive bangers like Sticky for most of the album, but I got more introspective cuts. Which doesnt mean they're bad, but it wasn't what the album was shown to be. The lyricism in these cuts are very impressive, and shows Tyler's top tier performance as an MC. Take Your Mask Off is a beautiful song which talks about people hiding behind their true self, only for Tyler to take his "mask" off to expose his true self in the ladder half. Some of the bars in this album will make you question why Tyler isn't in a Top 10 Rappers list. All in all, I loved the album. It isn't Tyler's best, but it's very hard to compete with his previous albums. The songs themselves are amazing, but the album's cohesiveness brings it down for me. Especially when you have half of the album dedicated to loving a girl, to then not trusting her, to then saying she's sticky, to then fucking her in the song. My Score is a 8.3/10 Flower Boy: 9.1/10 Igor: 9.1/10 Call Me If You Get Lost: 8.6/10
