Regarding Ainz's intellect:
Someone has theorized that Ainz indeed is a genius and his plans and decision making are actually giving great results in the long term
The problem is that the human Suzuki cannot use consciously the high intellect score of the avatar Momonga.
End result: Ainz always manages somehow to go ahead without much trouble.
And that theory actually has sense. After all, dumb luck only can not get you too far.
His high intelligence works as sort of a Felix Felicis from Harry Potter lol.
It also has to do with the fact that the floor guardians of Nazarick are all extremely capable in their own right, and can therefore effectively execute pretty much any plan Ainz comes up with, regardless of how intelligent it actually is.
Well the players can't use int stat directly, but their NPC can. In this case, Alberdo is a tank mage and Demigure is a demon, both have high int stat and they can use it to think of these plans, and with their 100% loyalty, they can even have plenty more int to spare for the mind juggling of how their Supreme One came up with these plans before them lol.
I mean, ainz just shows up in the empire, talking "friendly to his friend" the emperor, has a fight with the strongest in the empire for PR sake,wins and the emperor is like HOLY SHIT PLEASE LET ME BE YOUR VASSAL!

well to add to that it could also be ainz being extremely inexperienced and humble due to his past experience since his competence in terms of combat even exceeds demiurges expectations

@@CaptainPrincess Exactly. It's also not some anime asspull, it's a legitimate phenomenon happrning in real life too with very smart people or people in academia who are used to complex high-level thinking having trouble tuning it down to understand other people.

Hitler did not listen to smarter people than him, as for example the siege of Leningrad he was told by his generals to back away as it seems that the siege will not work but he did not listen. He seems to have been crazy and with big ego.
Hitler might have lost ww2 but he was a brilliant mf to get as far as he did I mean hell one little ass country the size of a couple of us states maybe, took over all of Europe. Only when Russia and America join in did it truly turn the tides of the war.
I’m confused as to why they added that Ainz wants to know about it too. He developed the carrot and stick plan and explained it to demiurge and Albedo himself. That is plainly stated in the novels. He conceived the plan in volume 10 when he’s touring E-Rantel before visiting the Guild master
They probably made it that way to keep the whole "Ainz doesn't have any idea what he's doing" shtick
@@zildmania yeah that makes sense. The show pushes it harder than the novels but both of them are consistently regressing his character every chapter. One minute he thinks of an awesome plan the next he’s dumb again
Maybe he's trying to remember how exactly it fits into the current scenario, or seeing how his subordinates understand it.

Ainz has a bad habit of leaving his orders abit "open ended". He also has issues remembering orders (or offhand statements his NPC's interpreted as orders) he has been given before so he always gives either Demi or Albedo the floor to get himself up to speed.
Ainz also tries to make it so that he never speaks to Demi or Albedo alone when it comes to serious planning because he cant bounce his own ideas between them and alone they will just agree to everything he suggests without question or merit.
I'll be honest I don't know anything about this anime but why do I get the feeling that he was just hungry for carrot sticks and they blew it way out of proportion?
That's actually how it is during the series. Ainz will say something, sometimes as just a passing thought or passing phrase that is intended to be forgotten. But his followers either take is seriously, out of context, or miss understanding.. Of which always leading up with them bring it up again in the future of which Ainz's had completely forgotten about it. Which also in turn has him just "winging it" because he has no idea of what is going on.

This 'tanish their name' is their drive on both case. Ainz is unknowingly install this thought on them.
