    Matthew, your guidance and your outlook on how humans are better off when they work together is really priceless. It is easy to figure out exactly what courses, qualifications and test scores are needed for just about any profession, but none of those things will make you successful in your chosen profession.
    I didn't come up with any of that on my own, I am learning these things from watching and absorbing your content on your fantastic TH-cam channel. I had no idea that you even existed until a few days ago. Today is the first time that I have had the pleasure of watching one of your videos on the day that you released it and I am very happy about that, Matthew!

    Happy 1st TH-cam Channel Anniversary! Your now at 3.47K Subscribers, good for you and I'm happy for you.
    It is funny how your philosophy applies to life in general, this is why your channel is so appealing to a large audience. I for instance, am not from the yachting industry nor will I ever be, but it is an interest of mine, and your channel helps to fulfill that interest, specially from the crew perspective.
    We have learnt so much from you and your professional and personal life.
    You've managed to educate and entertain all of us with what anyone could say, very little to work with, given your circumstance, working on a private yacht were you can't disclose to much of the yacht, and a crew that wishes to remain anonymous, and I would probably feel the same.
    All I can say is you keep surprising us the amount of content that you manage to create. Keep up the great work.
    Don't ever forget, no matter if my comments seems controversial to say the least from time to time, 1 - its because you have unleashed my will to be honest with you and you viewers as you have with us. And 2 - Its never meant as a negative against you.
    Love your channel!

      @WorkonaSuperyacht  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Frank! You've been a great support for a long while now, and I've appreciated every single one of your thoughtful comments. I didn't anticipate that the channel would ever be of interest to anyone other than yacht crew, but I'm happy to know that it provides value to a much wider audience. The input from those outside the industry is invaluable, and I think the channel is so much better as a result.

    Once again, excellent video Matthew. THE biggest one for me was No.4, being consistent and patient. I knew that when I wanted to transition to private aviation, it would be a long slog as men are not to be commonly found in the cabins of private jets, but a patient and consistent approach over a few years is what it took. And, its odd that you mention the "better together" part, as I honestly did not think that my own personal journey was anything that others would notice, but because I had to get myself "out there" and step "outside my comfort zone" a heck of a lot, in the following years, there have been several occasions of people saying that they followed my journey and am glad to see that all the networking, talking, applications and "never giving up" paid off massively to get me to where I am now. Another enjoyable video to watch, and congratulations on you 1st anniversary!

    • @WorkonaSuperyacht
      @WorkonaSuperyacht  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm very well thanks Motters. The courses are absolutely necessary, and they will help to make you a more valuable and competent seafarer. I just wanted to highlight the fact that in isolation, courses can only take you so far.

    • @theadventuresofaskierandsa8527
      @theadventuresofaskierandsa8527 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WorkonaSuperyacht i absolutely agree. The courses are vital and in most cases, I would say they are a requirement, but of course, alongside the courses, its about how each individual and how they carry themselves and what they have to offer :)

    Hey there enjoying all the videos I really wanna get into this but I love gym can you fit gym in this type of job are there gyms on the yachts or do you get type off board the boats that so for your time

    • @WorkonaSuperyacht
      @WorkonaSuperyacht  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Larger yachts (~70 metres in length and over) normally have a dedicated gym for the crew. For smaller yachts that don't, it will sometimes be possible to use the guest gym (so long as guests aren't on board). In addition, if a yacht is in the same port or shipyard for an extended period, you can usually find a local gym to go to.
