    Previously I would have searched through IKEA catalogues to get inspired - or watched the IKEA display. Now vids like this one are making it easier.

    I have one of the jar openers. I would not be without it. They make good hostess gifts, use in a house warming container, etc.

      My jar opener slips on everything, so I'm returning it. What *does* work is the OVERMATT cover. That thing sticks like glue and there's one for every size jar.

    I really liked the video, thank you for narrating and showing each item and no loud music. Even if you left out the background music that would be great. I have adhd and someone talking and playing music actually gives me great anxiety.❤

    I have a grater simiiar but not totally alike the one you introduce (3rd last item). And I use it often, I even gave it to my sister. It is so lovely to grate and not have to look for where the cheese falls (or carrot or whatever you grate). Love me a good container-grater combo. Mine has a slightly different shape and different colors, but then it is already quite some years old. And yes, it was from IKEA. Must be about 20 years or so old

    @retail finds. I noticed a black mark in your thumb between your polish and cuticle area. My friend had the same thing and it was diagnosed as a very bad type of cancer that is caused by the UV nail drying/curing lights. If you have your nails done at a salon that uses these UV light curing/drying machines PLEASE GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. My friend had to have part of her thumb amputated.

    Save money when open cans! Here is a hint: take the back of the spoon and tap on the sides of the lid and loosens the seal so the lid opens easily. Just tap around the sides of the lid about 6 times or so and that’s it!

      I don't understand what you mean. Are you talking about opening canned food? How does this make sense? You need a can opener, so why tap on the lid?

    • @SM-jb8jf
      @SM-jb8jf ปีที่แล้ว

      @@logicalblueberrySO SORRY. I meant "WHEN OPENING GLASS JAR LIDS" to take the back of a spoon and tap around the sides of the lid. This will loosen the lid as it loosens the seal and you can twist off the jar lid easier.

    The gadget for unscrewing jars is particularly useless. I could not open a single jar with the thingy, and I bought it some 15 years ago in London. Time to discard it and free up some space in my kitchen drawer. Just as I did with my gadget for steaming food.

    The issue with ikea and dollar store plastics is they are made oversees and not BPA free. BPA is linked to cancers and a lot of data shows plastics leech and contribute to bad estrogen.

      Agree with you...that can opener is something we've been using for like 20 years...but made from metal and only plastic covered handles...nothing new and the old version is way less harmful to the environment.

    • @johannesofie777
      @johannesofie777 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      There is a difference in one time use plastic and multiple use plastic. The former is the most problematic for the environment, the second makes up less of the garbage because people keep these things for years.
