Our Christmas Wedding in Connecticut!

My husband, Aleksa, is from Serbia & I am from the United States! Very early in our engagement, we decided it would be most fair for us to have two weddings - not only to honor each other’s customs, but to make the occasion more accessible for our international families.
We were married in Belgrade, Serbia in June of 2021 in a beautiful cathedral with a reception to follow at the venue and restaurant, Hyde Park. It was a beautiful day that we will cherish forever!
Due to travel expenses and travel restrictions in regards to the pandemic, the majority of my American friends and family were unable to attend the big day. This only further cemented our decision to go ahead with a second wedding :)
We were so fortunate to fulfill my childhood vision of an American wedding around Christmastime. We celebrated our second wedding with a much smaller, much more intimate ceremony and reception at The Copper Beech Inn in Essex, CT.
