SamadhiSound is excited to announce the latest addition to its catalogue; 'The Opiates - Revised' by Thomas Feiner & Anywhen. This revised, re-packaged and remastered edition of 'The Opiates' will be the first time many will have heard of the album or the artist Thomas Feiner. The release comes several years after Sylvian was introduced to the work, which he regards as something of a lost classic having only been released in a few territories. The addition of two new Feiner tracks have further strengthened what was already a remarkably beautiful recording.
Presented in a beautiful digipak designed by Chris Bigg, featuring exquisite images of Jean Cocteau and Marcel Khill taken by Cecil Beaton.

One of the most beautiful songs i ever heard in all the depths, it's so intense and from the intro the drums start it sets me right on fire

i wish someone would post a version of "where's the high." it's a magnificent song from the original version of "the opiates," but feiner (in my opinion unwisely) left it off the revisited version...which was much to my dismay, because the original version (which i was never able to find again) got stolen from my car. ah well, it was wonderful that the album was re-released in the states, regardless of it being a different version.
It reminds me of the first King Crimson....

hi, you say that the non-revised version of the album, the original, is different from this one? isn't the "revised" only remastered and repackeged?
hIS VOICE doesn't seem to go with this guitar sound.The timbres don't mix -it makes for an irony without meaning-almost.Its like tehe world we live in really.I love this .so happy a stranger mentioned it .Wow.Antony and the ...and now this !
