- Welcoming my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country XJ to the channel. This XJ has been practically sitting for the past 5 years or more. Who knows when it was last washed...
In this video, I walked you around the jeep in its "Before" condition, go through an extensive wash to remove years of dirt and grime trapped in every crack and crevice, and begin a process of what I call, a "restoration detail" as seen on the channel before in my last XJ. Except this one is a highly better candidate with only 71k original miles.
Stay tuned for Part 2 where I will get more into polishing the paint, doing a full interior detail, and even addressing some mechanical aspects of this Jeep.
Congrats! What a great find. My '93 2-door 5-speed XJ Sport has 158k on it and runs like a fine watch!
I want it. I have a 96 xj country. Would love one for the wifey. Them honeycomb rims are nice. Wish i still had mine. Wow nice jeep

Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I have a 96 xj with 1 ton super duty axles high pinion 40 inch wheels 6.0 ls full cage completely built lockers D300 rockbox 💪🏼 full Hydro steering all done in my garage . Just my opinion no jeep should be a pavement pounder it should be in its natural habitat rocks 🪨

now thats awesome!!
@@patrickhaskins4945 that’s definitely a sweet good condition jeep you got there buddy 👍🏼
Sucks to see the drivers side seat. What a great find! Glad to see it’s not a 1999-2001. I’m slowly working on my ‘92 Laredo.
1A Auto for the 13 piece steering/suspension and everything else I’ve purchased through Quadratec.
Thanks for the reply! Yep I agree about the seat. That and new headliner are on the list of repairs. I love these older body Cherokee better than the 2000’s.
@@patrickhaskins4945I was wondering how bad the headliner was. I just got mine done. I also wish my roof top rubber skids were as in good as shape as yours. I had to totally replace the front/rear suspension and steering. All my bushings were shot and it cured my death wobble. I’m keeping mine stock. I’m working on AC, engine/transmission mounts and window seals at the moment.
What did you do for the cleaning of the engine bay 😭
