Finished my 2008 Jeep Patriot today. First tried a spring compression tool to drop the old struts, no go, found your video, now I know why. THANK YOU Jimmy. Stiff asked socket sizes, bottom bolts/nuts 18mm, top nuts 15mm. Installed Monroe 272401 Struts, their Quick-Struts are so worth it, saved a lot of time and headache, plus with the Monroe $100 rebate, if you buy 4 struts, the front and back struts came out to $118 a piece, that is total with tax and free shipping from Advance Auto Parts online...

What struts did you buy? And are they still going strong?

Monroe struts, working very good. Inspect your ball joints and control arm bushings while you have all that stuff apart.

I know this might be a stupid question but can you put your rear struts on backwards

Sr i have one question I need to change the strut rear base but they told me that is not such a thing they want to sell me just like a kit replacement joints, will that be right?

Ramon Galindo , most likely that correct , best to go on eBay or Amazon and get a complete strut with spring assembly

The "Quick-Strut" product has worked really well for me on a lot of customer cars across the years. I don't care for their cheaper shocks. In a perfect world, KYB and Bilstein are the go to dampeners and you pay for them.
