While going down, doesn't the kite sometimes drag you rather than giving u extra speed? U usually don't need extra speed when going down... ?

The thing that immediately makes me not want to snow kite is all the stuff you have to wear to keep warm, In florida water, just baggies and maybe a thin skin or a rash guard. This does look really fun but I hate being cold. Thanks for the video. Lary

It's not really a problem. If you have proper clothes you wont be cold. And i prefer dressing for winter over being wet and crusty from the salt water.
I prefer kiting on water for jumping, but for kite touring snow is better, and in the mountains you can kite up mountains and fly down, and reach untouched deep powder snow.

Weird post. I mean it IS a winter sport. Just like regular snowboarding or skiing. Or XC skiing or snow fatbiking.
