You most definitely need to watch The Blues Brothers because if NOTHING else, the music is sensational. SOOOOOOO many musical legends are in it AND have the opportunity to sing (James Brown, Cab Calloway, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles....even Chaka Khan is in it though she doesn´t get to sing a full song). Great music and some really fun choreography. This song is also one of her best IMO so I´m so glad it made the list. Have fun with the movie!
"Think" is a song written by American singer Aretha Franklin and Ted White, and first recorded by Franklin. It was released as a single in 1968, from her Aretha Now album. The song reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Franklin's seventh top 10 hit in the United States. The song also reached number 1 on the magazine's Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles, becoming her sixth single to top the chart. Franklin re-recorded the song in the Atlantic Records New York studio for the soundtrack of the 1980 film The Blues Brothers and in 1989 for the album Through the Storm.
This is from the movie! You should ABSOLUTELY watch the movie. So many stars and it's so crazy and a classic. Still good. Comic, great music from legands and action with one of the movie histories biggest car chases.
I love this film!! They spent an obscene amount of money on all the crashes and destruction LOL - you need to watch the film, there's a few cameos, not including Aretha!
lets apply this to every KAREN we have as well. blues brothers are on a MISSION FROM GOD ! its a musical about getting the band back together to save the orphanage. NO YOU HAVE TO DRINK SCHILTZ BEER
Although the movie was released in June of 1980, John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd created the Blues Brothers characters on SNL in the late 1970s. Principal photography for the film began in July 1979, and filming concluded in late October 1979, so the movie was filmed in 1979, i.e., the end of the '70s.
Hello😃, what do you think about a Random 80's Week with the groups "Loose Ends" and the songs, Hangin' On a String, Nights of Pleasure, You can't Stop the Rain "S.O.S.Band" and the songs, The Finest, Just be good To Me, No one's gonna Love You. ✌️✌️
Do you really think people don't tell women to shut up these days? What world are you living in? Admittedly, it may not be said so directly now but the message is probably stronger than it was back in the 1980s when this movie was made. And with a lot more legislative back-up...
@deed2157 Maybe, but as a woman who grew up in the 1960s, I never heard anyone say "shut up, woman" (though I'm sure it was said!). My point was only that the way language is used may change but that doesn't necessarily reflect "change", much as we may wish it would...
I would like to suggest a Top 5 by Benjamin Ingrosso (Without the songs you react to in the Interval - Eurovision) including one swedish songs. 5. th-cam.com/video/T17lXfo0cVc/w-d-xo.html (a song about siblings) 4. th-cam.com/video/E0FRwJEDDQU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kg34roeCwbT4EIl9 3. th-cam.com/video/wW_NwbcHHoQ/w-d-xo.html (with Felix Sandman) 2. th-cam.com/video/s7Nf2OSN0Tw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2CwoNX1nB5dsL_py 1. th-cam.com/video/1qrhnK6FGr0/w-d-xo.html (with Alan Walker) Enjoy 🙂

It’s BOTH! a scene from the movie AND a video! 😁👍👊Zane
You guys should def watch the movie, it's absolutely brilliant all the way around, and will provide a little context for this scene.

React to The Blues Brothers 2000 "Respect"
Why do you keep on saying 70s when this film came out in 1980

I don't think they're saying it doesn't happen now but the way it's said (Shut up woman)

Did they ever rerelease the original film? If not, ,why?
