Hi i have a lot of these boards for the things i make but how do i get more torque out of my 350 watt motors with these boards because the taotaos for some reason have a lot more torque than of brand ones i make my own program for the boards so if you know how to fix that i would be happy to hear
Hello, I don't know if you could help me. I have tried to use an old hoverboard to make a little go kart. I have tried everything but the motors just wouldn't move correctly. I think it is a bad transistor but I don't know which one. I measured the voltage on each one and one side show that is working correctly but on the other side I have only like two transistor that show something the other ones just show 0. How do I fing the transistor that is broken?
Can't find the specs of my Mosfets. It is written YST7575C 2231 MT168. The MOBO has E310226 94V-0 3517 YST // YST-6,5"/10"-PCBA-10. I need to find something equivalent, but I can't seem to find any info on it.
Hi, do you know if there is a supply or test point I can pick up on for powering buetooth, board say 6v and the motherboard does not have the red connector for it. Thanks in advance.
Watch my other repair tutorial on the three voltage regulators. The 5V regulator might be strong enough to also power a second MCU. Otherwise you have to add another regulator to the 15V output of the primary regulator or add a cheap 60V 1.5A step down to the battery Input.
48V usually means either 14s LiIon with up to 14x4,25 = 59.5 Volt or 16x3.6 = 57.6 volt :-( With my solar car i boost the 24V (7s) up to 50V. So yes, 48 volt is okay. But my booster can only transfer about 500 Watt. So the 50V can not be held when there is a moderate load on the two motors. Others have successfully tested 12s Liion = 51 volt max. But motors really get hot with full load.
Estimado, tengo 4 motherboard hoverboard con el problema que no accionan los motores. Cuando presiono los sensores hacen un pitido pero los motores no se mueven. Podría orientarme acerca de la falla??
hi, robo. i have a board that I use with the seat kart, and when Im going straight near top speed it doesnt want to turn left as easily as it turns rightt, it is slow to change direction. do you know what may be the cause to make the hover board less able to turn in one direction than the other? it is almost symmetrical but just less controllable at speed.
Can you help me with my Swagtron T6 Hoverboard? I've noticed some capacitors seem to have burned out. In fact, one of the capacitors blue it's small tin cap right off. I thought replacing the broken capacitors would fix the problem with mine but they still won't turn on and still won't work. I am worried there is something else wrong with it.
Watch part 2 to check the voltage regulators and part 3 to test the gate voltages. And already start searching for a control board whose cables match yours.
Hi I have diagnosed a faulty shorted mosfet on my board but still have a short on the battery plug, red to black. Any advice greatly appreciated or if someone has a wiring diagram for the KZL-BZ01-MAIN
It is annoying when people ask for help without having watched my video. For a shortcut it needs at least two mosfet to burn. And of course you have to unsolder them to get rid of the battery short cut. As you have not cared to provide me with full information, please to not expect me to help you. bye.
@@robodurden I did watch, only one is shorted and still have a problem with it removed, hence why I asked. I am assuming with no power applied to board, the battery plug should not be shorted (with no power), do you know?
@@richierich.1982 well then watch my repair video about the thre voltage regulators. Maybe one of those is shorted. You might also check if the 3.3V pin on the program header is shorted to ground. if not you should be able to power the stm32 with a 3.3V source and read logging data via serial.. But if the fault is not a shorted mosfet bridge then you would have to do smd soldering anyway. Maybe if the TIP127 from the first voltage regulator is broken you might replace this one. And strudy github.com/EFeru/hoverboard-firmware-hack-FOC/blob/main/docs/20150722_hoverboard_sch.pdf to find more possibilities for short cuts.
@@robodurden many thanks, re tested board when got home and 2 more mosfets and the x2 TIP127 transisters were 0 ohms continuity C - E. with all removed, the short has gone, not OL, 200KOhm approx, so ordered parts and will see ... 3.3v to GND is approx 1KOhm. Appreciate you taking the time to reply, I will reply with outcome.
@@robodurden hi good morning, I'm still waiting for my 80N80 mosfets to arrive. I replace both TIP127s. The board now powers up immediately however when 40v applied on battery connector, would this be expected with nothing else connected to motherboard or would you still expect it to power on/off shorting the power button pins? Appreciate your help.
I still wait for replacement mosfet from china. Maybe new mosfet will not help because the gate drivers are broken. Then maybe the mosfet burned because the gate voltage jumped to 42 Volt :-( Don't know how to test the gate voltage. Maybe spin the motor and wait until the hall sensor for that mosfet gets activated.. I guess the normal gate voltage should be 10-15 Volt.
Hi. i think this video is not correct. i learned here that mosfet gates will stay charged even when powered off, and even when using multimeter you can change their on/off state. Like the video by "Learn Electronics Repair" of 8 months ago, called "All you need to know about MOSFETS to Fix stuff" explains at 00:22:50
If the gates would stay charged after MCU shutdown, the half bridge would shortcut the battery. This apparently does not happen so your post seems a bit idiotic. Study the schematics page 2 and understand how R4 and R9 will discharge the gates. But yes if the first tip127 is shorted and the battery is unplugged, the 3.3V might cease before the MCU shutdown and the low side MOSFET might stay on. With unplugged battery and the high side MOSFET being off this should not really be a problem.

Can you make some videos for repairing ebike controller?
No, i only work with hoverboards.

Mount the hoverboard with left as right..
I guess it is a mechanical thing of the speed levers.
