This is a great help in lining up stuff between parts, also just general 3d visualizing. But i have another lining up issue im trying to work around and that's running say a line that goes from the cab and right down the trailer, currently im just shifting stuff about by eye on both skins :)
mate, that 3d viewer will work on a truck that dont have a template? i added a sleeper to one of my mods and the original template doesn't work anymore.
Can you do full wraps around the cab with an image using 3D preview? It looks a lot easier that way vs removing part's of the template and lining them up.
Can't run the Previewer. All i get is a prompt to install .NET Core, which i have. Mods Studio 2 runs just fine though. I've tried installing .NET Core 3.1.11 and 3.1.3, none of them work. How did you get it to run?
Found out that two JSON files were missing "ModsStudio2Previewer.deps.json" and "ModsStudio2Previewer.runtimeconfig.json". Without them the previewer wont work. You can grab them from the earlier build 2020.09 and just copy them into your newer install folder.

Hello Pauly, Can you tell me how this 3d skin method works on sunshields? When I open a sunshield that's always at normal direction to the planes i.e. it's front-rear orineted not left-right therefore textures don't show up. Thanks in advance.
@@Paulycustom I see. Do you have any hint how to properly texture it then? The sunshield's UV map can be extracted from Mods Studio 2 but that's a mess, colors are mixed up in game plus textures (frames, texts, etc) dont even appear. Any idea would be appreciated
Tried to get it working a couple of times, converted the base twice just to be sure but the preview window doesn't open for me. When I click the button nothing happens. No error messages, just a quick mouse icon loading pointer and that's it.
@@MercilessGamer I started using a 15x15 pixel contrasting grid with a line width of 2 pixels to space things out correctly in gimp. Just counting grids and pixels to get it aligned perfectly. Using different colour pixels you estimate where you want something you can pinpoint it more easily. Still not as handy as the 3d pre viewer but atleast it's an accurate workflow that's faster as guessing.
When I import a mod truck into 3d viewer, I see the model of the truck but the whole truck is red and it says texture not found all over the truck, any idea why?
does anyone know the answer to the problem in the mod studio itself, when I want to put paint on the chassis or any kind of sticker, nothing happens, it just doesn't show anything on the truck as if it doesn't see the texture

My base.cfg is not a zipped folder to be extracted so dunno how Im supposed to extract anything
