- Hey guys, Sorry I've been absent for so long there has been a lot of new things happen in my life and its been pretty busy. I have gotten married, lost a loved one, got new jobs, and am becoming a father. Hopefully y'all forgive my absence and enjoy this video of me getting my high school car back up and running. let me know what you guys want me to do to the vehicle and if there should be another video on the car! My condolences for your Grandmother. On a happy note, congrats on getting hitched, and the baby on the way. You can't even imagine how your life is going to change.

Decrease compression by spacing head, stroke it, bore it, and if has oil feed from block then smaller turbo, on like 10psi.
Those 4 cylinders respond to turbos very well. DO IT!

My Grandfather just passed away from cancer recently too so my condolences about your Grandmother. Glad to hear there is a lot of good stuff going on in your life though.

Personally love that front end. Always loved Fox's. I had an 86 SVO. Was a sooper cool car but I was too fat for it haha. Working on 302/t5 swaping my Volvo 240. Not making a racecar but a fun driver. ANYWAY. I would keep the motor on that car stock but swap to an electric style fan, just to limit noise. They make plenty of kits for them and I be you can find the parts at a salvage yard and do a simple temp switch and relay to wire it in. In the long run maybe a turbocoup powertrain swap.
Hi,john we missed ur comedy routines.sorry ur pappy lost his partner n you the grama!!!bone cancer must be excrutiating painfull.at very least she now finds comfort!!you should really consider putting in a transplant motor such as coyote or small block 351winsor to replace that anemic 4popper.that way you can burn tires on weekends till kids get old enough for the passover event.just my 2cents.snooky pa.😊😊😊😊

An upgrade would be to hook that motor to a chain and use it as an anchor on a boat. A 4cyl Mustang is like putting a Cessna motor on a 747 Jumbo Jet

They made a turbo 4 bannger for the stang in the 80s. Would be better if it was a manual transmission with the 2.4. Overall a good looking car

She appears to be in need of some new motor mounts which means you will have to unbolt the engine from the car for a minute and you might as well unbolt the rest and plop a bigger motor in it! Congratulations on the wife kid and job(s) and my condolences on the loss of your grandmother.
Slap a big ole wet shot of nitrous in there. I want to see that intake hit low Earth orbit when it backfires. Also, I wonder what a fart can sounds like tacked to the end of open headers. 😁 Seriously though, a nice small turbo on there to give some power but keep it driving nice would be pretty nifty.

Can Scott County handle another mini-you? Haha. I wonder if there are a lot of usable Turbo Coupe or SVO parts from that 80s ear around. Years ago I carpooled with someone with the T'bird version and he beat on it without breaking it. Amazingly durable IMHO. Probably want a more modern turbo though, but the rest is maybe just a simple swap.
Polyurethane Motor Mounts may be a great start, but I would love to see a SUPERCHARGER on this 2.3L!
If you can find one for a good price, how about a louvered back window cover, with this, you would be SCREAMING 1990's built...

Sorry about your grandma. I was wondering about the hair, so I guess a part time cop can grow it a bit? As for the car, a four banger from that era is a bit weak. Maybe turbo charge it. At the very least, get one of those Carb Cheaters from Luke.

Outside of a V8 swap doing much with the older 2.3 isn't worth doing, if you specifically want to build the 2.3 find a fuel injected doner car. I've seen complete turbo coupe part cars on FB marketplace go for 500 bucks. SBF would be cheaper easier and more powerful. Also I've always been a big fan of the factory turbines.
this would be bad ass with an ecoboost or turbocoupe swap.

Sorry I know its late but April fools, I'd love to see engine mounts, headers, and a Supercharger, possibly swap the hubs to 5 lug but thats if you lose likeability of current 'new' rims

Sleepy=slow not real fast or quick,open the cutouts,and it autotunes to a 5 sec.roaster,thats a way to really fix it
