    Points to Note:
    I didn't really include my own conclusion but I definitely recommend these shoes but only at a low enough price and with those special quick-tie laces (Unless you're not planning to use it as a slip-on!). The leather is incredibly supple and is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, period.
    - I am not an affiliate/sponsor. This is literally my first video in this sphere :D
    - This shoe isn't a slip on despite the heel notch at the back and my direct comparisons to the Ababa IIs.
    - I haven't discussed user edge cases where some people's feet may meet an extreme (e.g really wide foot). I wouldn't be able to tell! I advise finding a youtuber who discusses this :)
    - If enough people ask, I can include a link to the quick-tie laces. They are NOT from Vivobarefoot.
    - The audio you hear at the end is despite the traffic and other general noise. You may need to increase the audio.
    - I've heard Vivobarefoot may contribute part of the sales to charitable causes. Haven't verified this myself.
    - Feedback would be great! Be as harsh as possible but conditionally just as constructive please!

    Update on my Sensus purchases-Unfortunately I have had rather bad luck with them, it’s a shame because I really like the shoe. Basically I was finding that when I walked in them the right (left was fine) would make an audible flapping noise (or a bit like sound of stepping out of water) with each and every step. Customer service told me that there were a small number with a fault. Unfortunately, as I bought a brown leather pair and a green suede both had exact same problem. It’s not as if it was a looser fit on the right, I even tried tightening the laces, but problem persisted. A differnt agent at customer services stated that it perhaps I should try a different style and did not mention a fault. Anyway I decided to get a refund for the suede and have the leather ones replaced. I tried the replacements on yesterday and not only do I have the same issue the leather is torn (tight next to, not on) on the panel at the back. I have the Primus Lite III and there are no issues with them. Sadly I will have to return the faulty and damaged 3rd pair of Sensus I have tried.

    Really helpful video! 1 more question - would you say they fit the same as the Ababas? Thank you!

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, more or less but the Sensus do fit more comfortably around the bridge of my feet when pushing off. It's a small difference but you do feel something with the Ababa's. If you mean size wise, It's the same.

    Thanks for this video! Great job - to the point. Your tan shoes look much lighter than what's shown online. Is that the case? Considering the olive but if the tan are lighter than might go with them.

      It's a little lighter in this video for some reason. Slightly darker in real life.

      I got the olive and love them, I then went nuts and got the tan ones. In case you dont know the olive ones are a suede finish and the tan leather.

    Can you show a quick video of what the shoes look like with the inserts? They look so hollow like this

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that's due to the very soft and thinner type leather they've used. I'll make a separate video on this later today with my thermal inserts :)

    Good review. Never had Barefoot shoes before. I tried their online sizing where you take a picture of your foot on an A4 peice of paper. It's coming back with a uk 7. I'm usually a uk 9 and sometimes a uk 8. Does anybody know how accurate the Barefoot size guide is?

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's what I used the first time and got an accurate sizing but it depends on a few factors camera wise which is why I never used it again, just in case. They do have a downloadable template which I use and still have stashed here : www.vivobarefoot.com/uk/size-guide . Make sure to download the Mens lol.
      My longest toe lies between 11 and the next one up so I always get the next sizing up.
      Hope that helps

    Useful vid thanks. I bought my first vivo (Primus lite III) in November but have not actually started wearing them yet. I used to be very addicted to New Balance Minimus Trail and I think bought my first ones around 12 years ago. I loved them so much I must have bought 20 pairs (different colours over the years). I found them the most comfortable shoe ever. Sadly they stoped making them a bout 3-4 yrs back. I bring those uo for a reason. I always bought a size 11 New balance. So I presumed the Vivo Primus would be similar, found then too big. I changed them for a 10 and they are good, with the finger width space (as you mention) at the top. I like the look of the Sensus and, prior to seeing your vid, have just ordered the olive ones. I think they may be suede. Also I think the all round stitching is a good feature. I hope the size is the same as Primus.

    These fit kinda strange at first but broke in really nice. i love all my vivos but the sad truth is that they suck when it comes ro durability. I wont be buying anything from this company till they stop sellimg shoes rhat last less than 5 months.

      I remember Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear saying something along the lines of 'handmade just means it'll breakdown quicker', and unfortunately that is the case with Vivos

    @Xana I notice after posting my update you do mention in your video that yours too make a sound when walking and I guess You didnt have a problem with it. Mine was only on the right and it bugged me.

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's simply due to the high flexibility of the shoe coupled with that 'take off' that happens every time you push off with your feet. the shoe 'snaps' back to its original shape.
      I was testing inserts and have found that using them prevents this effect.

    • @VAPIDISM
      @VAPIDISM 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@XANA96 Yea, you helpfully mention that in your vid. But I wonder why it happens, in my case, only on the right foot on 2 different pairs. Im in a quandary as to if I should just get a refund or get these (torn leather) ones replaced. Thats encouraging news about the inserts, maybe I should try those. What kind do you use ?

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@VAPIDISM the Vivo thermal inserts but I try to stay away from them as they dampen that barefoot feeling. Get ones are as thin as possible, perhaps from Amazon. Otherwise you may be able to make a makeshift insert as all you really need is some flat support piece in the middle area of the shoe (that's where the shoe flexes). I'm not sure how the end result of this would feel though haha

    • @XANA96
      @XANA96  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it's happening on one side it's probably down to your gait. I'm used to the sound of them now so it isn't a problem for me anymore

    • @VAPIDISM
      @VAPIDISM 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@XANA96 Yea, I may end up giving up on the shoe. It looks great feels great but the slapping with every step should not be happening IMO. I like the feel of the leather interior so would need to get leather insoles. It’s interesting that I was informed by one of thier team that it was a fault. They should just make a proper job of it.
