Nice work my freind ... i work in the aerospace industry shaping parts made of Nickel-Cobalt like the leading edge to helicopter blades and giving them a final grain all by hand so , so i can appreciate your skills ... ive been tossing around some ideas id like to do or have done to a motorcycle i have ... i just cant seem to find the time , so i might have "some" of the work done .. how whould one get in touch with you IF your interested ?? The parts im looking to get worked are actually body panels made of Titanium !!!! *Much softer than people realize , so engraving by hand should be feasible . Only looking for maybe some kind of Border on the pieces ??, not sure yet as even though they are motorcycle parts , they do still cover a decent area (probably a couple sq ft of surface) .
They make a water based paint called Chinese White for this reason, really comes in handy on highly polished pieces. Gives the piece a matte surface that you can draw on also
Looks like you cut with a 120 or something, then use a flat graver to deepen your lines? As for relief you just straight up stipple the in betweens? No actual removal for the relief? Then you hit it with some black paint.

I've tried engraving on a small medium. I used 120°. but in the leaves it always goes out of line that I draw. how many degrees did you use in the video? for small media such as watches and zippo kotek how many degrees do you recommend especially for cutting back bone??

I suggest if u can make the surface of the zippo bit mat so it won't reflect under the led light

120 for lines, no flat to deepen though. I remove the background with a flat and then stipple

What’s the round graver you’re using for your line work? Is it a 90 with no shape or face? 116?
120 degree v point. 45 degree face, 15ish degree heel
@@jwsahm6703 why so shallow? Is it because your metal thickness is so thin? Like on you gun for instance, you use a 90 there?
