    Are you currently using click fraud prevention software?

    • @glassfullmedia3765
      @glassfullmedia3765 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We use clickcease. It looks good, but we also need to test it more. We A/B tested FB ads with the ad prevention on - and the ones without the software on actually performed better. The software is good to allow you to send requests to get money back directly from Google ads for clickfraud they dont originally recognise.

      Yes but it does prevent only tiny percentage of fraudulent clicks. ClickGuard and ClickCease. I'm looking for better solution.

    Hi Darren, Thank you for this insightful video.
    I'd love to hear your thoughts, we're thinking about start using a protection tool OR building a tool on our own.
    We thought about using Google ReCaptcha V3 to get a score per visitor on our site, and then if he is likely to be a bot to block his IP from Google Ads, just like the paid prevention tools do.
    Do you think this internal tool can be as good as the paid protection tools? Or are they more sophisticated than that? Would love to know your opinion here.
    Best, Ido.

    Google Ads is garbage.

      It’s actually the best performing pile of dog shit.
      Microsoft Ads exposes you to malware infected windows PC running click fraud.
      Linkedin is mostly, scraper bot fraud, and business developer shit users.
      Facebook is lot of residential proxy fraud.
      Adroll / roll works 90% click fraud from data centers.

      Yes I can attest to that. It sends a lot of junk mail clicks. It seems like if you cannot afford to have a professional company to run your Google ads for you, it is best to not use Google ads.

    We've found the issue with fraud prevention software are the limitations of the reaction within Ads platforms. In Google, for example, it's a maximum of 500 blocked IP addresses per campaign. And, in the case of this particular software, the same IPs being blocked across all campaigns - with such limited space to react, campaign specific IP exclusions would likely get a bit more out of that. I suspect this why we saw very little change in efficiency, which would appear to chime with similar comments below. I agree it's likely a large, under-the-radar issue - but until there is greater scope to counter act it, the mitigating effect of any tech is very limited.

    • @darrentaylordigital
      @darrentaylordigital  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tech will always have issues, I think it's a bit better on Meta where it builds an exclusion list, but for Google it can be limited. I think it can help, but there is definitely no definitive solution

    I think the most aggravating is the sales marketing calls people try to sell your business a service... websites, SCE, Google ranking, marketing..... etc all while it's costing you money. We don't spend 10k a month but we're looking into a service too help.

    I also sometimes click ads on accident while holding / scrolling my phone. This happens the most on TH-cam, and then Facebook.
    I don't have this problem on Google, LinkedIn or Instagram.

      out of those 3 which one do you find more reliable? My google experience was interesting but not very lucrative. I'm thinking of using insta next. I want to do more weddings so im thinking ig & for commercial leads LinkedIn but I hear linked has a high bot ratio on ads.

    Thanks for the video. I recommended to my client to use a click fraud prevention software. Then after few months he said he does not think it is useful. And basically I can't prove he is wrong or he is right. He stopped the subscription to the software and of course it stays in the back of my mind. I am not sure how to prove it was helping or not. I feel my Ads can run better but I can't say I saw changes with or without using the software. Not sure what to do 🤷‍♂

    I use the main click fraud service and I'm amazed how many obvious bots using similar IP ranges or services like Aws that they miss. My niche is very expensive with $50+ CPC typical and we see bot clicks in excess of 50% on bing. It's getting out of hand and the paid ads companies as you say truly don't care

    • @darrentaylordigital

    • @milancleaning

      Its eitger you pay $50 per month or lose hundreds/thousands on fraud clicks

    • @molly2frodo222
      @molly2frodo222 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@milancleaning First of all it is not that cheap. One company required that you have to be willing to spend a minimum of $50,000 a month on ads in order to work with them. There is a lot more to it than just paying a fraud prevention company. You have to be knowledgeable enough to know how to use that software. Google ads sends so much junk clicks to your website. Just hiring a fraud prevention company is not going to solve that. You want your site to start generating real clicks. If they block all the fraud clicks now you have no clicks. So you are stuck with still trying to get clicks for your website.

    I’ve used all the major Click Fraud Prevention software suppliers in the UK and the USA over the years and not once has my CPA reduced. You expect it to right what with blocking bots and competitor rage, but nope. Had zero benefit from them. Shame.

    • @darrentaylordigital
      @darrentaylordigital  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a shame. I only see the benefits when working with high volume campaigns or high CPC niches where I have seen improvements, particularly in cost per new user when looking at the data from that perspective as a starting point
