I have running bamboo that needs to be controlled. Here's how I installed a root barrier (or rhizome barrier) around my stand of bamboo.
I bought the barrier material from BambooShield.com and was very pleased with the quality of the material.
Bamboo can be a fascinating plant to have in your landscape. However, it can be a nightmare if allowed to get out of control.
Clumping bamboos are relatively tame, and should be your first choice for your landscape, but running bamboos (like mine) are risky business. It was essential that I install a root barrier around it.
