I am very new to WordPress so I am not familiar with how things were done before, nor am I an experienced web builder. You teach at a good pace for me to understand and you explain things very well. Some authors don't realize that if they make a video at the pace they can click around and save changes that the viewers can't really tell what they are doing. And going so fast they don't explain what they are doing. Better to go too slow than too fast! Please make another video about how to work with templates and template parts, saving custom templates for special pages and how to build some different layouts. Thanks Ellen, you're the best!!!

The demo you did is nice, but full site editing is still a feature I mostly want to turn off as too easy for content editors to change the whole site by mistake.

Why there is no "Preview"? I'd like to personalizate my site before activating a new theme.
Hi Ellen, this looks exciting. And i'm looking forward to giving it a go. I was wondering if there might a a video/documentation for transitioning a site using an existing theme (eg the Zuki theme) over to using the Makoney to start. Then once the transition is made, then tweaking the look and feel from there. Thank you in advance!
Ellen, könntest du allenfalls mal erklären, wie man so einen selbstverständlich wirkenden Footer macht, der auch bei kurzen Inhalten immer schön unten bleibt? Fange grad erst an, Seiten mit Wordpress zu gestalten und habe mich sehr über die Möglichkeiten des Full-Site-Editing unter 5.9 gefreut: endlich kann ich alles anpassen und dort haben, wo ich es möchte - wobei ich dann eben grad beim Footer hängen blieb, der einfach 'nicht untenzukriegen' scheint 😏 Mag deine Videos und eure Arbeit, herzlichen Dank!
I would have some questions: what is the role of 'Customize' now? Is the editing of single post still available? What are Aino Blocks from Wp despository? Some new blocks for Aino theme? Great material, Lukasz
Hi Łukasz, thank you so much :) Can you let me know in more detail what you mean by Customize now? I mean which customize area are you referring to? The Customizer? Regarding Aino Blocks, we have a number of Blocks now in the free WordPress repository. For once the 'Aino Blocks' plugin with a collection of standard blocks for layouting, e.g. our Grid block, Flexbox block etc. These are the blocks you will need to have installed when working with our block themes. Then we are also starting to add additional single blocks like the Aino Notification and FAQ/Accordion blocks. You only need to install them if you want to work with them. And yes, we are also working on new blocks :) Right now the Testimonial block gets an update and we have our first premium blocks in the works, a timeline and pricing block.
@@elmastudio Thank you, good to know that they are essential to work with Aino. Yes, I meant customizer. You could add new code to your site or manage widgets which were similar to blocks actually
Yes, I believe they would be. But to be honest the core WordPress blocks have some restrictions still on responsive settings. We build our own blocks at ainoblocks.io/ to compensate some of these. We have responsive spacing, responsive CSS grid settings, responsive typography and so on. This way we are able to build responsive themes more freely right now I believe. But core blocks will get there, it's just a lot of work for such a large platform.
The "board" or "area" is just fukkiin page builder.. The human brain gets bored so often that it needs to rename stuff and put it in the next drawer to feel and pretend that this is a game changer that never was there before to overcome the feeling of life doing the same repeating stuff over and over again. No offense here but this is no innovation by WP here. Just another shirt that looks and feels like the one from yesterday 😴
