@Rudy Gr Thats alright, At its worst, they often cant handle the hallucinations they see, so they arent able to function and communicate with people. They sometimes cry or hyperventilate when they become overwhelmed with the symptoms. Other times when its more auditory, they ask me to repeat myself because they hear to much sound to make out what im saying. When their episode is really intense, they call me and ask me to come visit them so that they arent paranoid from the visuals and sounds they are experiencing if they are alone at their house.
Sometimes they cant read text because they are hallucinating to much, or cant enjoy music b/c there are so many voices talking to them while they are listening to songs.
Its really sad to see them unable to perform in simple activities. They often dont even want to go outside because when they leave the house, these weird and demonic looking entities follow them, and when they are in the house, they have to close doors and turn on lights because they imagine that those entities are right there inside the house with him/her. (im being very private with their gender because they are a very close friend of mine who could possibly be linked back to through my social media)
But to answer your question more directly, they sometimes just do things like have a sudden change in mood, all the way to breaking down so bad that specific people have to talk them out of their desociative state.
(Their state of mind can be compared to taking a high dose of psychedelics when you experience "ego death.")
So they can also go into a zombie like state where they dont know who they are or how to reattach back to reality.
I also want to stress that they have other mental illnesses besides schizophrenia. So their symptoms are exacerbated by their other brain chemical imbalances.

I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at age 20, showed symptoms around age 16. I've been through hell (most who've experienced the madness have been there.) Been both homicidal and suicidal-- didn't follow through on the homicide, but my heart desperately called for me to plunge a knife deep into it, and promised me great pleasure if I did. I was at that edge.
Symptoms were paranoia, delusions including delusions of grandeur, anxiety due to fear of people, hallucinations, heard many voices such as from god, demons, angels, and just conversations between people, etc. Had uncontrollable thoughts, I saw visions of demons and little demonic children and other images imprinted on things like the walls, floors, beds etc. Watched "movies" playing on my eyelids when I closed them at times. Thought my family, and everyone else wanted to kill me, poison me, etc. Thought everyone was connected into some form of a collective...except for me, and they would read my mind and call me useless, dead, among other things. I was lead to fast for 43 days (did this maybe 5 or 6 times, though only made it past 40 once because I was taken to hospital all other times ) and was told god was going to take me out of my body and give me a new one and make me into his prophet. I couldn't control my thoughts, sometimes not even my actions. From the moment I woke up until the moment I fell asleep my mind would utter things i did not desire to speak, and could not control it This was how I interacted with people on a daily, for years.
Today, I'm 100% cured. Been off meds for 12 years about, and live with no symptoms. I've gotten my life back on my terms, and recently became a red seal electrician.
My point is; there's hope, and more than the vast majority of us who have suffered and are suffering, have been taught to believe for, or even dared to reach out and fight for.
I'm doing a TH-cam series on my story, and how I reached the outcome that i have today. Feel free to come by and walk and talk with me as well, or if you know someone who might be interested, even if you're not, mention it to them. The more stories of hope we hear, the greater it is for the mind. I think so, anyway.
The Morning Mist, and my name is Paul. Dont ever give up, and dont ever lose hope; it will be your saving grace, and it will take you to places you've never thought you could reach, even through the fog which hides many of our fears.
    Thanks for taking the time.

@@heter0flexual623 Thanks! Dan. And yes, the whole experience was truly terrifying. It's not something I could put into words to truly demonstrate the level of madness that draped itself around my mind. To this day, when I look back at myself during those times, I'm still baffled at the fact that I made it out alive or that I was even able to get my sanity and life back at all. But it's precisely because the madness that gripped my heart and mind was so deep and dark, and yet I was still able to find a way out and become completely free, that it gives me hope that others are able to accomplish a similar feat.
And also to come back from the very edge of despair and hopelessness, where suicide was the only light I saw. Again, i cannot speak anything against believing contrary to the "impossible," and tell what I know to be possible, and that is a complete recovery.
Thanks again for taking the time, Dan.

@@blessingb8520 I'm sorry to hear about your son. As a mother this must be very difficult for you. I'm also the son of a woman who was in your desperate situation. She watched as I suffered over the years, but then she watched as I overcame every obstacle brought on by the illness, and went beyond every boundaries set for me by the doctors.
Schizophrenia is an illness of the mind, as I'm sure you're already well aware of this. As it stands today, there is no medical cure, but there are treatments. Some medications help in reducing symptoms, and are thus able to aide your son in moving forward in his life. My journey began with medications, and I took them...sometimes I stopped.
My journey continued on, however, without medications. But this is where the individual MUST tread carefully. It must first start with the awareness of what is happening, to acknowledge it, and then to stand against it WITH awareness. It's difficult because the individual/your son, would be stepping out on nothing beneath his feet other than the knowledge of what is possible. This must be the foundation and the ground beneath his feet. I wouldn't recommend this move by itself to anyone. It's easy to lose one's footing, and fall right back into the madness brought on by the illness. It only took me one try, but that's because I felt I knew what I was doing, and wasn't willing to take no for answer, and so I was persistent and I persevered through the darkness brought on by the illness. By the grace of God, I made it through.
So for that reason, I would recommend that he uses medication as a safety net, and then he could proceed to working towards eliminating all remaining symptoms that the meds do not dispel. There is a process and an understanding to this. I can't fully layout the route I took here, but as mentioned in my original post, I had started a video series on how I got where I am today. I've a few videos up, but I have been neglecting them and the channel, to be honest. I figured I'd pick it back up again, and this is my first time seeing your reply because I haven't been on here in a little while. Sorry, I'm a bit late in getting back to you.
I wish you and your son all the best. If you have any questions should you choose watch my videos, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, if he's willing, it might help if your son watches as well. Continue to support him as best as you can, and don't neglect your own health in the process.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

its super rare for children or teenagers to develop schizophrenia and its even rarer for schizophrenics to be violent
besides i doubt someone who’s actively violent and schizophrenic would be in your school system without medication or medical intervention

      ok ok
I have diagnosed schizoaffective disorder. Actually it’s not uncommon at all for people, especially boys, to develop schizophrenia in their teens, and rarely childhood, yes, but it happens, and doesn’t necessarily mean they’re lying. People with these illnesses are just as likely to be violent as those who are mentally healthy, so yes violence shouldn’t be associated with the illness, but it still happens, as it can with all people, and would make sense around issues of bullying. Furthermore, medication doesn’t make the symptoms go away, it just lessens them. I’m in college myself, and was ‘allowed’ to be there while actively psychotic... research goes a long way...
      -
I don’t mean to start something, I respect you, which is rare in a TH-cam comment section, but I just want the conversation to be accurate. I thank you for standing up for the fact that we aren’t a violent group, really, I just wanted to clarify a little.

    I have clinical depression.
I feel pretty bad for folks dealing with schizophrenia. The idea that your brain can basically hijack itself and freak itself out on the regular, is just a different flavor of awful, to me.
I've dated people with schizophrenia. I maintain friends with schizophrenia. It's disgusting how badly portrayed this disorder is, to the masses. And if you think they don't know how weird they look, and how "unacceptable" their behavior is, you're naiive.
Under the disorder, they're normal people. And they're not at fault for what they _experience._ They feel like the rest of us. They're not monsters, and the "unpredictability" comes from their delusions... which they have no idea are delusions. To them, that's REAL. That's the REALITY that they face.
I feel especially bad that people abandon them when they're needed most. They blame them. They question them. But they don't make any efforts to ask, understand, or help control.

Imani B hey, everybody wants to talk someone who’s in the early stages of the illness out of thinking it’s legitimate. They think they’re helping but they’re really just hurting. The best thing I ever did for my diagnosed schizoaffective disorder was getting a good therapist and doing my own research on treatment options. Don’t listen to the other people, you know what’s happening in your head, they don’t. People aren’t prepared to deal with serious mental health issues sadly, so, the mentally healthy community may not always be there for us... but we can help each other get through this.
Check out some ted talks if you like, they helped me find coping mechanisms, and maybe consider going in for diagnosis with a good doctor who’s seen these cases before- not your run of the mill uncaring doctor

If he has good therapy, smart doctors and takes medications that are right for him he will get better. Schizophrenia is treatable and it may take a long time to get back to where he was but he will improve. You could always visit him at the hospital or send him a letter, those things mean a lot. When he gets out and is living life again make sure you encourage him to stay on his meds and just be a caring friend. A lot of people run away when you get schizophrenia its the real friends that stick around.

You can kill the voices by repeatedly say the same word over and over again. They don't die like normal people though. It will only reset them or take their memory away. This is bad though because it will hurt all the voices that can hear you and even some that are asleep. Speak it in you head and for best results use your inner ear so you imagine sounds way faster than you could ever speak it.

    • @siemarillion4739

I also know how to put them to sleep, make them quieter, louder and I can even make new voices on command. I can also control each one of their voices and convince them it's that voice that is talking.

So this weird thing happens to me once every like 2 months.
    So what happens is
Everything around me starts to speed up. And things start to sound louder and like TEH are screaming at me angrily.
When this happens I start to get overwhelmed. And end up having a metal silent breakdown. And it's not I speed up. Actually I slow Down. So when I talk I feel like im yelling but talking really slow. And and my eyes are the only tzingsthat move fast. Like they move at rapid speeds and my brain will process things before I see them. So it's like my brain is trying to catch up to what's happening and someone pressed fast fowards on me. And I feel weird. During this time also get light headed. And this can last for up to 1 hour. And the way I can stop it is to just not move at like not hear anything. But it will eventually pass on its own. I told my mum about it and she said I should get my brain check. And bot just for this.
I will get blur you vision randomly, i forget easily. Like I'm a litteral dory. You could tell me to do something and I would be listening and when I go to do that thing I have already forgotten.
But I tried searching what this speed thing is and what's going on with my mind but no site explains what I have been experiencing. Googke thinks I'm talking about why time is flying so fast like when you have fun how time flies. But it's nothing like that. Because time isn't going fast it's just the things around me. Time will go normally.
I just wonder when my mum will take me to get m brain checked.
I emailed mum says something happens to her when she feel really big andtahst called the Alice and wonderland syndrome. But I can't find anything that is close to what I have.
*gasps* what if I'm the only person with this. And I have a syndrome tahts never been discovered.
(I am Joking I know that will never happen)
But fricken hell my life is so weird

I think from the depression it turned into anxiety and from their it got much worst .. my whole family loves my brother but at first we just thought it was a phase until things got bad of him not wanting to eat .. shower for days .. now he is much better he talks a lot more and actually wants to communicate with others and wants to go out to the world it’s been a rough 2 years for my family but finally everything is getting better and so is he ❤️

I’m kind of scared right now. I have this imaginary guy living downstairs in my house whom I feel is so real. Only today, I heard someone calling me three times and I checked with the one person in my house and they didn’t call me, and I also heard my cat meowing but when I went to check on him he was sleeping and had been for the past 2 hours. I always see random things(most of the time spiders and cats) in my room. I’ve had people tell me that my behavior is “weird” because sometimes everyone is talking and just sit there is silence, I don’t know if I should worry. This has been going on for a few months now, but I’m not sure if it has been over 6. I’m not sure if I should be diagnosed, or something is wrong, if so how do I tell my parents?

@Medscape At 5:18 the video says that a patient must exhibit symptoms of schizophrenia for 6 months (with 1 month of Active symptoms) before they can be diagnosed with the disorder. Does that mean that a person has to stay in a mental ward for 6 months until they are provided treatment for schizophrenia.

    • @cr4zysh4dez
      @cr4zysh4dez 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, sometimes the behavior is observed by friends and family for months before they go to see a psychiatrist or go to a hospital. Not everyone with schizophrenia goes to a mental hospital, and some just stay the 72 hour hold. But there are outpatient programs where you have a doctor and/or therapy several times a week after inpatient. If someone has an acute psychotic episode they will probably be prescribed antipsychotics, doctors don't have to wait 6 months to help you. Let me know if this helps

What To Expect During A Biomagnetic Pair Treatment
When you have your Biomagnetic Pair treatment you will find that its one of the least invasive therapeutic procedures you have ever experienced. You will remain fully clothed and lie on the therapist’s treatment table. Its best to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, preferably made from natural fibers. Your feet will extend over the edge of the treatment table. As the therapist begins to scan your body it is advisable that you relax and think only about your condition. The therapist will diagnose your condition using a variation of muscle testing. This is often referred to as Bioenergetic diagnosis.
Its important to know that Biomagnetic Pair Therapy, differs from many other forms of holistic and alternative therapies, in that goes right to the source of the problem. The patient’s entire body, all organs, glands, bones and muscles are scanned for pH imbalances. When these are identified, your therapist will place magnets of either + or - polarity onto the unbalanced areas in order to re-establish a balanced and neutral pH.A session lasts from 90 to 120 minutes.
While many conditions improve after only one session, a complete course of treatment usually requires between 3 - 5 sessions. Some individuals may need more. Biomagnetic therapy produces no side effects and there are no known side effects or contraindications. It can be combined with other treatment, alopathic or alternative treatment.

Reputable psychiatrists won't give any diagnosis of schizophrenia before the age of 18 because they are too frequently wrong. The brain doesn't finish developing until the mid-twenties, and many countries are shifting to increase the minimum diagnostic age appropriately. Which makes a lot of sense when you think about how ages 12-25 are the most tumultuous time in a person's development; rapid hormonal change, less tolerance for emotional anguish/lower ability to self regulate emotions, underdeveloped prefrontal cortex, let alone the pure fact that they haven't yet had the time the learn the nuances of our society or our place within it! None of this is meant to be against young people, but a reminder to give yourselves some credit for making it this far through, that being a legal adult has far less to do biological maturity than you'd assume, and to also try refrain from unreliable diagnosticians - whether in the form of an internet stranger, a well-intentioned friend, or any psych that seems just a liiiiittle too pushy to fit you into any one neat little box.
TL;DR: Memory decline can be a symptom but considering your age and lack of severe symptoms it is extremely unlikely. Tbh, I think those things happen to everyone.

Yeah a dragon but crossbread with the great white spirit horse I chased it down beat the meat inside to death with a stick the creatures name is amphetamine
I don't think im schizophrenic because this thought seems to kinda make sense its metaphorical and organised thought and it has something to do with the use of intoxicating substances i think im too imaginative what do you think?keep in mind I respect your opinion to some degree.

Withdrawals from medication, traumatic experiences, comas and other life altering events can cause the development in schizophrenia. Plus the wrong medication could also have a hand in schizo development. Other than that everything seems to match up what I've been studying recently. I've been going over it in my mind since I have it. It is technically genetic. But however can skip generations completely surpassing the mother. In my case my mother didn't show the signs when I was born, but however with how much trauma she witnessed growing up, didn't develop the symptoms until mid to late twenties around the time I was placed in foster care. I didn't notice this before but it checks out. Losing me to foster care broke her mind. Her episodes until she was aware of it, unfortunately kept her from winning me back. But enough of that. Otherwise good video bro.

I’m having an episode right now and it’s very positive and good feeling voice, what do I do? It’s not going away, it’s like very persistent and it is very powerful. Am I dying? Is God actually or whatever actually talking to me? Is it because no one cares and I’m so lonely that this imaginary friend personality has taken over my mind or is it just the subconscious doing it’s job but I’m unfortunately too connected to it? Will it cause me to not move again for hours at a time again? Is it do to hypnosis as a child is that possible?

R A No Demons are not real but your fears, your subconscious and your memories are real. Sometimes your subconscious can’t process something or goes into overdrive to try to protect you but it actually makes things worse. If you rely too much on your overactive imagination and subconscious to fix your problem the narrative in your mind can easily change and cause more problems. So I don’t believe in angels and demons, because the same thing that made the angel also made the demon, my mind. If you do start to believe in that stuff and it feels like it has to be real, that’s when things can shift and it can be so harmful, manipulative and sometimes extremely disheartening. You believe God likes you and God can fix your problems but you can’t move for hours and then the narrative changes, the voices change, and it all the same voice. Your subconscious job is to lie to you to keep you sane, happy, and not bored, but sometimes it lies too much. Your subconscious or spirituality won’t give you facts, truth, or the future. It just tells you what you already know. Nobody should full rely on spirituality or even at all, IMO. Spirituality doesn’t make you a better person how you actually act towards other people is what makes you a better person.
And this why nobody likes me because they don’t get it, it’s too insane and I rambling. So, no one cares. No one will ever care about schizophrenia or want to deal with it, unless your schizophrenic.
Everyone thinks my life is made up and I try to make these weird connections so maybe I can have a clear answer as to why, but I just know what I know. All I know is I went crazy in middle school for maybe no reason at all.
I only let the God voice take over when I’m about to fall asleep because sometimes It’s the only way I can fall asleep or I can’t sleep and I’m in a state of not moving just listening while part of me is wide awake.

Even in my mental break. So I knew my God was going save me. Pills is not for me firm believer in his word. But I stand on God words all my life. I was train to only depend on him since a child. Adopted special ed rape abuse by men physically and verbal. Black in America. Dealing with my own kind hateful people. Things I once wanted end my life for. My God is good. Gospel music push me hold on to God and stand. Forever grateful until I die

Im not sure if im just stupidly self diagnosing myself,
    But
Lately ive been doing drugs like lsd, molly and smoking a lot of weed
And 2 weeks ago after bad weed trip,
    My reality has slightly changed
I do not feel like i belong in here.
Im starting to have delusions, and very slight hallucinations.
I do not feel like i should be here, on this planet :/
    Yeah, i feel very disconnected.
    But
    Maybe this is dissociation,
    I do not know
But now im taking pause to all drugs to see if this continues
But im not sure what to think :/

Th0t it should i feel better but found out it was depersonalization/derealization because if you have psychosis or schizophrenia you don’t really know if something is wrong with you (which is a delusion) and knowing that there is something wrong with you shows your not schizo or developing it.

It was crazy when I lived with her, she would “talk to god” , tell me someone on the radio was talking to her and that we had to cover the tv when it was turned off or we would get transported into the tv. I’m scared Ill get it genetically since symptoms usually show in your 20-30s oof :p

Mai ssa yes, you are correct. 100 years ago the mental health community discovered that split personalities, or dissociative personality disorder, is completely different and unrelated to schizophrenia, which doesn’t split the personality, but fragment the mind. You’d think in 100 years the public would do their homework on the issue, but few care. So, thank you for actually asking.
