Great video, I like watching fishing from different parts of the globe. One thing I noticed especially in Australia is the use of scent. I use pro cure butt juice and aniseed. The Redfin perch love it! But since they’re introduced they HATE the sun, yet love the warm water temp. The sun here is very powerful. So I’ll generally look for cover or shaded areas. You’ll hook up first cast in Aus if you find a shaded area. Another lure choice I’ll try is a cicada surface lure. I’m sure in England during summer you get loads of insects
Yes the same here with catching them in shade and under cover/structure and weed beds. We target them more in winter using lures and also catch them with surface lures in the summer. You have some stunning perch there as well which we’d love to come and catch 🙂 thank you for watching.
Cool video, I use most of your lures, always been a fox guy, just recently treated myself to a street fighter shad slinger casting rod, real happy with it, also I’m in a competition on the 29th of December, in Stratford upon Avon, were I have the pleasure of meeting one of your very own, Kevin cox, should be a great day
@ think I seen a post about a father and son on Ian Whittakers page, I told my son and he was gutted that he’s not coming, my friend invited, so I said I’ll look out for more competitions in the future to take him with, should be a good day, I’ll look out for you mate
Micro Fry is my go to Perch lure....I also like Micro Tiddlers, which get a fair few fish....Not had much luck with spiky ones this season but last season they were excellent... One thing I notice is that Fox Rage doesn't do a bigger pack of each colour...Say an 8 pack as, on my local river Nene, certain colours work better than others....Yellow and pink were excellent last season but this season, it's been darker patterned ones (up to late September anyway as the flooding has pretty much killed it these past 10 weeks), especially the Clownfish colour.....Saying that, a natural Roach pattern in the micro range, would be an absolute must for an old git like myself... Great kit, and I've been a fan for years.
Great video. I would love to see one that talks about hook patterns and sizes to match with different lures. I think a lot of people struggle on this. Also, different companies size their hooks differently, so if you explain the best Fox hooks for the Fox lures in your range, you may see more people buying into the Fox brand and sticking with it. ATB MMMD.
I tend to go straight to braid and then use a permanent black marker to colour the last meter of braid. If using a short 'flouro leader I would tend to go for 16 to 20lb for braid to trace. Hope that helps?
Great video, plenty of info 👍, new reels look good too, maybe treat myself to a 1000, with some braid + fluro carbon ( got tackle shop gift vouchers coming for Christmas 🎄 😀 ) You also looked like you enjoyed making the film ? What area of the canal were you on ? Is it open fishing or club/ private 🤔 Cheers Les.
The new Prism X reels are amazing value, with superb performance for the price so be sure to have a look at them when they’re in the shops January. This is a day ticket club stretch.
I have 2 Streetfighter rods for my river fishing that I simply adore, the Shadslinger and the Light shad rods. I'm looking to get a second, slightly lighter 3-14g rod to compliment the Streetfighter light shad rod for my Perch fishing for lighter lures and a bit of Dropshoting. I'm wondering what the difference is between the new Prism X twitcher and the Streetfighter drop and jig as I'm torn between the 2?
The new Prism X range has a faster blank than the Street Fighter, so more suited to jig fishing and fishing weedless. If you’re looking for jigging rods that would also be suitable for occasional drop shotting then the Street Fighter Finesse or Drop N Jig are great. Or the Drop Shooter is a Drop shot specific rod but can also be used for jigging. We hope this helps and good luck 🙂🎣
Another great video thanks foxrage
We appreciate the kind words 🙂🎣

See you there I am also fishing it with a father and son

There’s plenty in the pipeline for the Micro Lure range and it’s always good to mix it up as no two days are the same.

Hey up great vid. Just wondering when you say attach a light wire trace would that to the floracarbon leader or straight to the braid.?tia

Dam good rods the street fighter range
Blanks are vg
Yes they’re a great range. Be sure to check out the new Prisms next time 🙂🎣
Good video.Have the rods got a solid tip or tubular tip ?. 🎣👍
Hi, they have a tubular tip as they are designed to be a versatile 'tool' across different types of fishing.
@trevorgunning5399 Thanks for the reply 🎣👍
