In 1971, 7 or 8 of us teens saw him and his wife looking in windows on Palm Springs main drag. Very nice man. Chatted with us for a few minutes. He then said good bye and we all went on our way. Now all these years later I think he’s a brave man! Imagine how his mind was racing with a pack of delinquent looking teens surrounding him. I enjoyed his movies and tv shows and I will always remember that evening.
He invited me to his Oklahoma ranch. Being a young horse owner, I wrote him a letter about his TV show. A horse education show Sat morning. He answered it & invited me to come see his horses. His brother Chad would welcome me. He ran the ranch. Still have the letter. But never went, parents weren't interested in going. I was just a kid.
Great guy and a western staple in film and television. There was just somethin' about him that made him so likeable and believable. A real cowboy indeed and a good guy always fighting on the right side. RIP Dale🌟🙏
What a fantastic biography of a macho man who ended up getting right with God and the precious holy Spirit helped him kick the alcohol problem and he went on to make family-friendly Flix for the rest of his life. What a stimulating, encouraging, encouraging biography. Good job thank you so much and thank you Jesus.
Tales of Wells Fargo one of the all time great western shows I watch and love all the old black and white westerns this was a great watch thanks learned much about one of my favorite actors Dale Robertson
Yukon, Oklahoma not Arizona. Harrah, Oklahoma. Met him several times in everyday living. Polite, quiet and friendly. His horses were beautiful and his ranch was frequently visited by notables. He held charity events at the ranch. Well respected and well liked by Oklahomans.
A basically good man, but he was unlucky in love. I believe he had four wives. He was a genuine war hero. He was awarded the Silver Star and the Bronze Star for heroism in World War II. He was also awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action.
I grew up watching Wells Fargo, I never watch a movie or tv series that Dale was in, that wasn't a great show. Thank-you to the Robinson Family and Friends for sharing Dale with all of us. Rest in Peace, Dale. GOD Bless,
I watch Tales of Wells Fargo just about every day. Love him in that. I grew up in Oklahoma City but a little too young to have encountered him but it makes me wonder if my dad ever did.
Dale Robertson was a gorgeous young man! Michael Landon was too! Especially when they filmed together on Tales of Wells Fargo.... the bluest eyes I have ever seen.. so handsome ❤ . RIP 🙏 Dale and Michael ❤
I still enjoy watching Tales of Wells Fargo even today. He was great in the episodes where he starred later in his life with Angela Landsbury series "Murder She Wrote"Dale was a great actor.A true cowboy for sure! He seemed so natural in his acting.Thank God that He found the greatest treasure of all which is JESUS CHRIST! Knowing JESUS was greater than any of his life's achievements.Dale finished well.Do you ever think how you will finish? Will it be well or tragic? The choice is up to us.
If he hadn't smoked cigarettes he would have lived to be an old man. When he played the part of Jim Hardie in 'Tales of Wells Fargo', I never missed an episode. I was left-handed, and he was the first cowboy I saw wearing a 'left-handed' gun belt. So I was a fan from the start. He and Mike Landon, as 'Little Joe' Cartwright on 'Bonanza', were the only two I can recall who used their left hand to shoot.
Dale Robertson was at Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore OK on a football scholarship. He didn't do very well with cadet life and acquired a dubious record that remained even when I attended some many years later in the 60s. You see, if you were at athlete at the time you didn't have to work off punishment tours for misbehavior while your sport was in season. Since Dale was a terrific athlete, he never worked off a single punishment tour and was know has King Con because held the all-time record for the most punishment tours ever accrued by one cadet.......My Kind of Guy! God Bless Dale Robertson.
I love Dale Robertson! The revelation of his battle with alcoholism is shocking. Could his addiction have been managed differently given the era's limited understanding of mental health?
Dale also had a traveling stage show in the early 60s. A family friend played in the band. When the show came to our area of course we went to see it. Our friend arranged for us to meet Dale. He was a lovely man and he and my dad swapped war stories. This 12 yr old girl had bragging rights for the whole school year
He was also in the 1965 OUTER LIMITS, Episode called The Preminition, where he was a pilot who crashed and everyone was frozen in time ( except him and his wife).
Always thought incredibly Handsome Gorgues blue Eyed his dark hair from such Hardships to a Superstar is Indeed MIracle he's Wonderfully Good guy XO Edy Williams...
Too bad, he couldn't be faithful to his wives. Other than that he seemed to be a decent man. A former professional boxer who had won 90% of his bouts, was awarded a purple heart and the bronze star in World War II. No wonder his character, Jim Hardy, in "Wells Fargo, was believable as a tough as nails agent for the stagecoach company.
Dale Robertson one of my favorite actor ❤️ everything he starts in❤😮

He and 'James Garner' were two (2) good looking men from Oklahoma. Good looks and distinct voices. They were two of a kind.
One of my favorite cowboys. He was gorgeous😍

Back when Hollywood turned men into stars! Of course, we were strong, then!

This presentaion could'nt have been better. I Love It! TFS. Barb in Oklahoma.
Very, very handsome man. I have watched all the Wells Fargo movies and most of the other movies. There are no pictures of his parents.
None better than those actors and tv programs of long ago. Not all the trash that is allowed now.
Always liked his work

My dad was serving at Ft. Sill same time as Dale.
That’s my horse, Jubilee
Good man, great actor
Left me picking up his tab including some of his guests one night in Houston. Nothing for him.
I liked him
Dale Robertson, was so good looking! 😂🎉😂🎉🎉
I had a massive crush on Jim Hardie when I was a preteen back in the fifties.❤
Too bad, he couldn't be faithful to his wives. Other than that he seemed to be a decent man. I had never even heard of Dale Robertson until I saw this video.
Dale Robertson was a hottie back in his day.. Loved him.on Wales Fargo
I liked him in the movie ring of fire
Myom has a signed photo of him
He never drew a sober breath. He was a functional alcoholic but just barely.
He’s really left handed.😂😂😂
😢😊
Ben Johnson too! Real cowboy, he was great in Shane with Alan Ladd and Jack Palance...
