i wonder if you should make a maze/treasure hunt where they can use their connect tool to find where the buttons are but the buttons link too long chains of logic gates so it's a pain to follow
Instead of flipping every 30 seconds have it flip every time someone hit a switch. That way it's more of a surprise and no one can get more than one at a time
Someone should make a maze where you have to turn lights on in order.....but if you get the wrong order, it doesn't reset like they have done. However, you don't KNOW if you have gotten the right order unless you run back out to check the lights. So players can choose to either backtrack to the start a few time to check on their progress, or just keep running around the maze going over the same lights multiple times to eventually get the right order.
At first i thought it was them pushing buttons that activated it, when you said that it was unfortunate that thry found buttons at the same time. But you could for sure make the mazes turn when the other player hits a switch

Not a fan of this style. It should remain fun even when it's a little frustrating. Ejecting the player every 30 seconds just makes it frustrating a tedious.
I notice people are saying I cut out where kosmo hit the purple switch. That's how sneaky it was it even evaded editing.

Now you just need to add a different maze on the bottom and hide that from them. Imagine them trying to solve two mazes at a time.
A maze that dunks into a different maze which then dunks you back into the first maze :O

Have the bottom maze rotate periodically so they never know where they're being dropped even if they fall through the same hole.

You should have put a switch on the bottom so they had to die quickly and respawn to run out and click a switch on the bottom.
Either that or they would have to exit /stay out of maze before it being flipped.
