This is great still learning the boss dps rotation but honestly clear speed is superior and its super tanky like the title says but if you stand in front of pinnacle bosses and let them slap you well you die so dont do that just move a bit and you will be fine awesome guide once again thanks bro
I am wondering about the boss rota here - most other gemlink/monk staff builds have some sort of "cast on" setup for generating power charges. This one does not. Do you manually cast both marks and reapply snipers mark each time it procs?
Manually cast Sniper's Mark at the start of fights if needed to get Charged Staff up, then apply Voltaic Mark & combo Tempest Flurry, Mantra of Destruction, & Bell.
Good stuff... should check out an Adorned + magic jewels with stat corruptions. Even a cheap one like 40% is pretty nice, +10 -> +14. Feel like it quickly out performs rare jewels, especially since most only have 2-3 mods anyways. With higher adorned jewels can easily add +10% dmg each
love the build, working on trying it out myself. i was wondering what we should do with the Gelid staff in offhand? also I'm struggling to hit enough spirit with all the passives is there a previous video i should be looking at?
First of all thank you for the build! It's great fun to blast through the maps like this :) But I have a question that I cannot answer. How exactly is this a tanky build? I built it exactly like you did, almost no difference, with a health/mana pool of 7200 in total at level 89. 1) There is no first layer of defense like Evasion etc. Which in maps means that if anything goes wrong at all, I am a one shot. For example a group of really fast mobs and one bad suffix on the Waystone and I'm dead faster than I can click anything. Most of the time everything is fine because I kill everything in one hit. But things aren't allowed to go wrong. If I get hit a little too hard, my mana pool is instantly gone and I cannot fight back or survive after that. 2) Bosses are terrible on this build so far. If they hit me with anything remotely damage like looking, my mana is gone instantly. No Mana Flask in the world can get you back in the game after that. Not an instant one or a huge amount of recovered mana. So after getting hit once the fight is done because I cannot fight back anymore and this build is all about killing it before it has the chance to hit you once. Maybe I could get some more regeneration from somewhere like jewels, but that can't be the solution. Right now I feel more Tanky on my LA Deadeye, even though this build here is a lot more fun.
It has big max hit & sustain, but yeah, it doesn't have great EHP. Swapping Mana Remnants for Wind Dancer with Blind & Maim can help a lot with EHP in maps if you're able to sustain mana on just the Sapphire bonuses. Once you can afford a Melting Maelstrom, all sustain issues completely evaporate, but that is a bit of an investment.
@@PathofEvening Thanks for the answer! Yeah that's what I was swapping to to feel a bit less squishy. Also I put on a different Helmet with lots of Evasion. Works ok, although the damage loss leads to Heralds proccing less often which is a tiny bit annoying. Anyways, damage on maps is still good enough to blast through everything. Only huge problem is bosses. Boss damage feels incredibly low right now, and with the sustainability issue with mana, I feel like I skip all bigger bosses until I can afford Melting Maelstrom. Otherwise it's pure pain and I lose too many citadels or pinnacles
I have a tri-stat stacker gemling and have a much smaller mana pool than you. Could you show what mana regen is like when you take a big hit? I'm playing with 26% mana before life instead of MoM at the moment due to mana issues. I'm curious what mana upkeep is like for you.
Okay i been playing around with some stuff i took CI to solve chaos and then got a couple breach rings with added lightning and increased lightning damage with intelligence and some resistances changed the soul cores to make up the difference in needed resistance on gear and from the best i can tell i think greymake brimmed helm is the best choice if you can get a 50-50-50 and at level 90 that is 140 to attributes wich is a small upgrade on intelligence compared to dexterity and strength but i think this is the best choice anyway just wanted to share some of the changes i have been trying out
Well looked at greymake again today and now all the numbers are going down so not sure if it was a bug but the numbers no longer increase when putting that helmet on so back to the original helm for now
Yep seen that this morning but on the plus side i put on ingenuity and in combo with the breach rings boosted my dps numbers on tempest around 30k@PathofEvening
rageforged is a good option for bell and stacking shock magnitude and ailment magnitude if you wanna spend some extra divines on jewels you can easily get to like 40% shock and with voltaic mark on hand of chayula it goes to like 55% which for bosses is a ton of extra damage
How does that work? Doesn't Hand of Chayula lower the value of the mark inside? Do you keep the suggested supports (Arcane Tempo. Inspiration, Mobility) on Voltaic Mark (inside of Hand of Chayula)?
@@shackyalla yes base shock is 20%, you can easily get 100% increase from jewels and maybe some points on the tree, and voltaic mark also increases the magnitude of the shock, i use hand of chayula so i can put curse and mark in one aplication. Edit: Hand of chayula - voltaic mark - enfeeble or conductivity - heightend curse
Lol moment ago I tried to update my tree here and there follow ur build I noticed something strange because it looked different in just minutes I thought I followed the wrong link. Now I know why. Just Started yesterday currently I'm 65 it's really a blast the only one problem I had was around level 35-45 rares and unique boss is really tough
Yeah, you've gotta upgrade your rings and gloves along the way through the campaign and early endgame. Getting more flat damage makes a huge difference.
@@PathofEvening Again you changed my poe life, For a know nothing player in poe1 I followed your LS Slayer build and destroyed every contents . Now in Poe2 with this build after gathered all the gear, 0death, got my first complete trials after failed other 4 characters attempt. Thank you so much
Great Build , but i face a Problem , i have a Ring With cold Dmg and the good set up for the Skill and support , but my Herald of Ice dont proc amymore
boss ive a problem with your build after i change to mind over mana i respec all crit nods with lightning nods i cant freez anymore with the exact same gear i was doing good and freezing was ok with crit version after i switch to mind over mana version i cant freez anymore ive flat cold dmg on 1 ring too
You'll need to get more flat lightning damage and int. Just dropping Crit and not boosting damage elsewhere through Lightning Rod will mean less damage, which results in weaker Heralds.
@ nevermind, I fixed it with The Three Dragons Mask. I might drop that helm later and test to get Timelost Jewel that adds Cold Damage see if it is better.
Looks like you have enough attack speed where just holding tempest flurry makes you move faster than walking. Any reason you don’t like moving around that way? Have seen people use a lower level tempest flurry(5 or so) to keep mana cost down for it
for some reason i'm not freezing the enemies, i have the exact skill tree and skill support gems but the herald of thunder is not freeze them for some reason :/ in tier 11 or 12 still freeze but 14 and above doesn't
Increased Ailment Threshold is a pretty annoying map mod that can cause this problem, but otherwise it's likely just not doing enough cold damage with your Herald of Thunder, so more damage/Int or more Freeze buildup/Ailment chance should help.
Any info on what skills to use where? At the moment it seems like I play this with Storm Wave on maps/trash, and Tempest Flurry spam (with bells) on bosses (tough rares), but, I have a lot of issues with bosses to be fair (probably skill issues though). So yeah, just wondering if it's correct to use Flurry on ST and Wave on AoE, I'm also missing my last ascendancy, so can't do all the supports like you do.
Did the change to the Armour brick your build? Didn't the Armour affect all soul cores? And now it only affects the one s socketed in it? Or was I dreaming...
You're not feeling the lack of rarity? The poe2 world in general is talking about how rarity is a required stat and you have zero on this guy, thoughts? Also I feel like most people go the max res ascendancy for their 4th point instead of doubling up on support gems. Is that a step you feel like you'll make eventually when you get your ring situation figured out, or you think you don't need the additional tankiness?
SlipperyJim's recent video on the subject was pretty eye-opening. Having rarity would be better, but doing a good job with juicing maps and then having super fast/smooth clear has been working. Also just not that worried about currency at this point in the EA.
You aren't going to find a belt with much more res than what you got there. One of the resistances on it is 44%. 45% is the current maximum you CAN get in the game. You're kinda stuck there in that regard, unless you went for an Ingenuity possibly.
It doesn't work even on 30divine budget. You die in 1 hit, literally everything kills you in 1 hit. This build is not playable. To anyone who is watching videos like this - don't trust these bloggers, they have no idea what they are talking about. Don't waste your currency
The fact that you said "these bloggers" just confitmes that you have no idea what you re talking about. Idk about the tankiness of the build so in a sense the titel could be missleading but other than that the build obliterates in both clear and single target on an 8-15 duv range. Also just having 3k hp and caped ele res will make you at least tanky enough to survive maps easily if you play the game with your eyes open whatsoever.
I follow this dude builds since poe 1 with TR CA PF ( I doubt you know what this it ) so I know 100% he ain't baiting at all, just wished he had a discord already ffs.

Please post a video demonstrating your boss combo/rotation I’m struggling a lot with bosses
Appreciate the suggestion!
Me too. I like the setup but can't get enough boss damage, even with 725 INT

It's just there for a bit of cast speed for Marks, which are all set to offhand-only so they benefit from the skill tree investment.

What's the general skill rotation for bosses? I feel like I get the bosses to half health before running out of mana or the tempest bell runs out.
Tempest Flurry, Mantra of Destruction & Tempest Bell. Keep dodging and use your Mana Flask.
I watched from the first video. Struggled. Suffered. Then upgraded and kept following. At Level 80, it finally happened. The build is coming online!

That was a bug with Mahuxotl's Machination.

Sure
Why not lifetap so that mana remnant can straight up double your ehp?
Lifetap on what skill?
Because hitting life flask over and over throughout maps is annoying, and it's not a damage increase.
Ingenuity belt for ring replacement?
Yeah, a decent Ingenuity is amazing.
lightning infusion works in charge staff???
Yup.

Morior Invictus is the difference
