I used to play 45:33 while rowing long distance and while cycling. I didn't know its purpose, but it just felt like the perfect balance of motivational rhythm and hypnotic melody.
julia brown Um, you are wrong. Pop comes out of popular, and popular appeals to masses, so LCD Soundsystem does not fit in the description. Dance music is not pop necessarily, but pop is dance music 99,99% present of the time.
thovlasslayer Pop is a seperate genre on its own. Indie pop wouldn't necessarily mean "popular" and NOISE POP certainly doesn't derive from popularity. Its a formula. Pop music is a formula. Verse chorus verse. It has nothing to do with where it came from and what you described it as.s
Theodore Of Mystery but I think your disregarding the art pop genre, which is still pop, I’m pretty sure acts like xiu xiu aren’t trying to appeal to a large audience
Pinkerton, Selected Ambient Works, Mellon Collie, Endtroducing, For Emma Forever Ago, Songs for the Deaf, Geogaddi, Since I Left You and Lift Your Skinny Fists would all make super interesting episodes.
The should do: 1. Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me 2. Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain 3. Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand 4. Slint - Spiderland 5. Atlas Sounds - Logos
wish i had been at their goodbye show, that looks legendary. but i saw them at fyf this summer and it was so amazing. maybe the best show of my life. so glad i got the chance to see them even though they were before my time, and excited to see what they do now...
Possibly one of my favorite albums ever. I've got all of their albums on vinyl, but good lord does Sound Of Silver go on the turntable more than the other 3. LCD will always be tied with New Order as my favorite band, and its such a bummer that Murphy wasn't one of the many artists who appeared on N.O.'s Music Complete album
@@Bandstand I feel like merriweather isn't that interesting (in terms of making a video). Theres so much more to be said about the bands history around the HCTI-feels era, leading up to their breakthrough with strawberry jam. Merriweather is really just a continuation of what strawberry was IMO
Great video! Is there anywhere that I could get some of the stills used in it? Some of them came out really great and I haven't been able to find many good LCD pictures online.
Bandstand yeah but the albums don't need to be old they just need to be interesting which I think both of them are. However I do see where you are coming from.
Yo, we're a band called Stookvogel and we have just released our first music video. If you like bands like LCD Soundsystem and Radiohead, maybe you'll enjoy it.
I legitmally think all my friends is the greatest song ever made
The beginning sounds like Steve reich
Its been two years, have you made it to the end of the album, and "New York, I Love you but you're bringing me down" yet?
@@danm.2229 3*
Someone Great is better XD
I remember vividly hearing 'someone great' for the first time & its been one of my top ten favorite songs of all time
I used to play 45:33 while rowing long distance and while cycling. I didn't know its purpose, but it just felt like the perfect balance of motivational rhythm and hypnotic melody.
2:49 Yeah, because when I think pop, I think seven minute tracks with looping piano about growing old away from your friends.
This
pop covers a lot of music, its not just radio-friendly music with a female singer.

LCD Soundsystem has to be one of my all time favorite groups. And I'm not the kind of person who usually says anythings my favorite.
*Modest Mouse's* _The Moon and Antartica in 6 Minutes_

Markus Tralla I second this opinion

Pinkerton, Selected Ambient Works, Mellon Collie, Endtroducing, For Emma Forever Ago, Songs for the Deaf, Geogaddi, Since I Left You and Lift Your Skinny Fists would all make super interesting episodes.
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West (In 5 Minutes) That album has more than enough stories to talk about
ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER
The should do:
1. Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me
2. Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain
3. Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand
4. Slint - Spiderland

They would most likely do Merriweather. I would love a Feels video though.
Bandstand WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR

yess
Us V. Them, one of the best tracks in Burnout Paradise
Covering Pere Ubu's Modern Dance, REM's Murmur, Fugazi's Instrument, Meat Puppets 2, and Jesus & Mary Chain's Psychoandy would be much appreciated.
Such a great album!
This is the most versatile slide film I’ve ever seen. ISO 64 indooors outdoors black and white.
I literally recently spent a week jogging every morning to 45:33 without realizing the Nike connection.
Please do Aphex Twin's SAW vol 2 in 176 minutes
Deerhunter - Microcastle/Weird Era Con't?
There's actually an "In The Studio" pitchfork video on Microcastle.
th-cam.com/video/U4V2GHw3jls/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Is there anywhere that I could get some of the stills used in it? Some of them came out really great and I haven't been able to find many good LCD pictures online.
Mac DeMarco - Salad Days if you want. Teens Of Denial By Car Seat Headrest would be cool.
Those aren't old enough in my opinion.
Bandstand yeah but the albums don't need to be old they just need to be interesting which I think both of them are. However I do see where you are coming from.
