I had a lot of fun listening to this! I really liked the ending too, as somebody who creates geek / movie / cosplay content myself, inspiring! I would love to hear more advice and experience stories!
Ive always wished they returned to Dream Warriors and the mental hospital. Part three is definitely my favorite. I wrote a short story once that was a direct sequel to Dream Warriors. But it didn't have Freddy in it. It was a story about a detective investigating the hospital after the series of deaths that accured. As they were listed as a suicide. But he was convinced it was something else. (Like how did Jennifer commit suicide by throwing her head through a tv that was higher then she was) So yeah, and then the detective learns all sorts of dark things and questions the survivors. Awesome video!! Thanks!! Good topic!!
I mean at this point, I'd just pitch doing A Nightmare On Elm Street again. At this point it's been almost as long since the remake as the remake was from the sequel. There's gotta be something there still.
Great in sight. Never knew about these scripts. Big fan of New Nightmare. Great idea. Hope to see a new freddy movie soon. Would love to make it myself
I would really like to see a Nightmare on Elm Street series set in the 90's between Nightmare 5 and 6. Mike from Redletter Media also mentioned this in a video i was like 'thats my idea!'. Have the series start off like Peter Jackson's script where Freddy is weak and no threat but he traps or kills one teenager in the dream world then starts getting more and more powerful , Freddy would start off old but become like the Freddy from Nightmare 2 as he gets his power back. We watch all the teenagers in the town get killed or go crazy over 4 to 5 years. Some of the teenagers have powers in the dreams like Dream Warriors while other are 'dream architechs and can manipulate the dream world. Main characters can be a younger sister of a character killed in one of the movies like Sheila Kopecky who thinks her sister just died of an asthma attack, John Doe from Nightmare 6 can be in it just a younger version before he lost his memory. Always liked the idea of a character falling asleep while watching a horror film like Alien then in their nightmare is a mix of Alien and Freddy. Seeing it go from a normal town to a dystopian town with no children or teenagers would be great .
My 1st Nightmare film was the OG I was 7/8 when released in England and absolutely loved it especially the music 🎶 Been watching horror since I was 3 as the Hammer films used to help me get to sleep 😊👍💜🐾
"If they ever did a tv series....that would be a cool couple of episodes..." They did make a series and something like that WAS an episode. It was watered down for TV but still my favorite episode.
My uncle used to rent horror movies and hide them in the hallway towel closet till he was watching us for the night and would bring them out for me, him, and his son to watch. The first elm Street movies I seen were 1&2 at 4yrs old. I was hooked. My first Freddy movie i ever seen theatrically was Freddy's dead at the drive in. Me and my dad made it a tradition after a while when I was so obsessed over the Freddy doll and Blue yoyo. He surprised me on the last day of 1st or 2nd grade and we saw New Nightmare. The last film I saw with my dad before he got sick and passed away when I was a teen was Jason X and Freddy vs Jason.
@ I love learning all the behind the scenes info, especially for series like Elm Street that I’ve loved for years. Even better seeing you and Cody having a good time sharing your knowledge and passion and doing a creative crossover. Keep up the great work!
I would love to see a new remake of nightmare where half of it is him in human form, court house, vigilantes and the second half is his demon self getting revenge.
45:50 Tell me about it. Audiences are the worst now. Even adverts prior to the movie say turn your phones off but so many people insist on looking at their phones throughout the movie, so distracting. Drives me nuts. Here in the UK we have a lottery advert where a lady checks her phone in the cinema to see she won the lottery. I emailed the lottery to complain! 😂😂😂
My first intro to Freddy was Dream Warriors I believe. My mom was a huge Freddy and Dokken fan so she let me watch it with a warning. Loved Freddy since.
Do a prequel with Richard Brake as pre-burned Freddy, setting him up for a new series of films where he plays canonical Freddy. Bring back the duster from New Nightmare, but dirty it up a bit, give it some tears and some smoke damage; makes him more intimidating.
Awesome vid! Dropped you a sub Chris 🔥 and Cody’s had my sub for 5 years now and it’s because of his great vids and Coll as with awesome creators like you!
I don’t have time to see this, a Nightmare on Elm Street is hands down, the best idea for a horror series and Robert was perfect. The most horrific ideas mixed with comedy. I was all in on 6 such a fan. Now it does kind of suck but I’d watch it over Friday the 13 part 40. Freddy is my favorite
I’m into that child psychologist angle. That sounds pretty interesting and plays into the idea of getting inside their heads that he invades their dreams after his death. And I’ve always thought the “innocent” take was pretty viable too, both ways work for sure.
I’ve read the book “slash of the titans” that has a handful of scripts of Freddy vs Jason. And there’s a couple where I’m like “damn I wish this could of happened”
The thing is Freddy always had personality and charisma even in the first Darkest movie Freddy had presence he was intriguing to watch. Because of Roberts natural personality and charm any franchise that focuses on him for multiple sequels is nearly always doomed for him to eventually over take the series and become bigger then the franchise itself. In terms of Peter Jacksons idea in concept it sounds interesting but the idea of visually seeing teens go beat the shit out of Freddy for fun I don't think would work for the character.
If i was too pitch a NOES film, I would love a total revamp/reimaging of the character. Drop parents murdering him specifically, instead incorporate a whole town. This way his vendetta/revenge can target anyone, children and adults. Use the premise of children beating on him in their dreams as an opener. To them they don't know better and assume its a natural dream that just started happening; unknowingly keeping an evil at bay. Before Freddy eventually violently kills a child. Kids start spreading rumors about the supposed way of death, after they learn their dreams weren't natural. Leading to a town myth that spreads like wild fire and births a new interpretation of Freddy. From here, anything can happen. Personally, I would love to see Freddy begin to target an adult and the film follow a sort of Exorcist III approach to the character. Someone who perceives the world rationally has their own beliefs and perception of reality busted. As their kid(s), the surrounding deaths, their dreams, and Freddy as a whole challenge them. Maybe pushing more towards a cop/forensics, or doctor type figure. If it centers around a young adult, their is a lot of creative scenarios I would love to see done, but I want more than creative scenarios. I want substance in the storytelling department.
Unexpected crossover, but I’m so here for it.
@@ChronicBreakdown Me too! 😉
This feels like a The Office Uk and The Office USA crossover
@@GumboHotPizza That’s amazing 😂
Finally!! Mentioned and voted for this topic on Cody’s patreon but it never got picked haha. Thanks for doing this!
Great collaboration! Cody’s channel is one of my favorites.

You can find a version of the freddy before he died story as a fan fillm online its not bad i cant remember the name its pretty good.
Robert says 4 is his favorite not 5.
Chris Stanley for 31 on 31!! 😂
56:45 That's what she said!
What about the Dream Police script with an older Jacob?
I would watch Freddy’s Dead over Batman & Robin any day of the week.
Oh wow she was going to have an older sibling? Interesting.....I think I would've preferred that. I definitely wouldn't have disliked it, at least.
The less we see of Freddy in human form the better. It’s like seeing Darth Vader as Anakin. It hurts the mystique of the character.
