Running with the Wolves was the first song I heard from Aurora a few years ago. That's all it took, I am now an Aurora Warrior for life! Saw her in NY a week and half ago and her concerts are Amazing. Thanks for the reactions!
welcome to the magick world of aurora. she also has a lot very spooky songs. thanks for your reaction. if you are into her angelic voice, you might be interested in her christmas concert at the nidarosdomen, it's live changing.
@@tx0h 😅 thank you for the spooky nod. 🥰 And thank you for the Christmas concert recommendation. I was just thinking to myself, today, what to do special for Christmas on my channel. 🤗🫶🏻 I will be writing this down.
@@BigSpookyTV It is a high quality concert in a very beautiful and old norwegian cathedral. She does a little talking too, so turn on the subtitles. This version should be good: th-cam.com/video/XXVwFvkNTEg/w-d-xo.html
@@BigSpookyTV +1, Nidarosdomen concert is what you are looking for. But it's long. If you just want to react 1-2 songs, check Lucky or "Through The Eyes Of a Child" from the concert, it's easy to find them separately. She has an angelic, mystical voice there, it's a real experience. Also It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) is a masterpiece. She is almost always better live.
For me it was hard to believe you did not liked first song (but music is subjective). I love it and I am never tired of her music :). Amazing video too, very fitting to the meaning of the song.
@@Geralt26 i am mostly a sound guy first. Then, a singing guy. For Aurora, I'm all singing. Her voice is so angelic and memorizing. However, the music hit me weird. Like another commenter said, i might need to hear it a few times to really get the feel for it. I'm not against exploring that notion.
@@markryder8488 honestly, you're probably right about that. She is incredible. When you fall in love with someone's music, you end up appreciating every song. I appreciate your comment. ♥️🤗
@@tx0h yes! That sounds right up my alley! The greatest thing about art is, experiencing someone else's expression. Although I'll look for the sounds that i like, i look forward to hearing more of what Aurora intends to sound like. 🤗♥️
Glad you discovered her. She has a large wonderful catalog. With some exceptions her live versions are almost always better. The Seed and Queendom I would do the video. "Runaway" which she wrote at age 11, she does a beautiful live 2015 at The Nobel Peace Concert. Running with the Wolves is a song about getting away from technology (the copper wires symbolism) and running with the wolves about getting back to nature. On your own I would suggest watching her explanation of Runaway on the Genius channel here on yt. She sings acapella and explains the song verse by verse. Its only about 10 minutes. Strongly suggest the following: "It Happened Quiet" live at The Current, "Through the Eyes of a Child" and "Lucky" live at Nidarosdome cathedral(she wrote Lucky between ages 9-12) from 2017, "A Soul with No King" live Vevo version from this year. ""Some Type of Skin" live Vevo from this year. "Exhale, Inhale" live Vevo version. Many of her songs can be a little dark and more ethereal than "having a beat". She is the true meaning of the word artist. She writes, sings , produces, arranges, paints. Her sister (Viktoria) makes many of her clothes and her other sister (Miranda) does make up. The Runaway video was shot on her parents property in Norway. BTW, a number of her songs have behind the scene video for and it would be cool to do both the song and the behind the scene video. Queendom, Cure for Me, Runaway, Winter Bird.
Nice reaction, although my favorite over the two songs is Running With The Wolves, when she sings "wolves" and it sounds like one howling, I just love that. Honestly, all her songs are great and it definitely appears effortless for her. She is the whole package when it comes to being an artist, she puts the ART in artist, she is music in a physical form. Thanks.
If you've got several free minutes, you should take the time to check out privately some of her live performances, as to me there's where she shines the highest and the brightest (tastes and colors...): AURORA - Running With The Wolves | Pandora Sessions: th-cam.com/video/5skBr_96dPc/w-d-xo.html Aurora - Running With The Wolves (Live at Gurten Festival): th-cam.com/video/aUtYpkLe1S8/w-d-xo.html AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: th-cam.com/video/Fc7XWW_Ehb8/w-d-xo.html , the most used in reaction videos, Aurora: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert: th-cam.com/video/evBgLWQwAFA/w-d-xo.html , the first of this acoustic mini-concert, AURORA - Runaway at 101.9 KINK | PNC Live Studio Session: th-cam.com/video/4bbuR-qnFlg/w-d-xo.html , another acoustic declination. I just hope YT validate a comment with so many links. In any case, she's worth the time to explore her rich and diverse musical world, including her even more varied live declinations of same songs. Above her magical voice, she's overall a true artist, indeed.🙂👍
Yep. Some songs do not meet our expectations or mood. That is normal. If you feel like you are becoming a fan of her, you could watch or react to one of her minidocumentaries Into the Light or Nothing is Eternal. Because singing and performing is only one side of her genious. Or if you feel more festive, you could do the HAIK documentary, which is longer and has a concert in a forest at the end (we will send you the best link if you are interested). See ya!
When comparing videos/songs made soo many years apart in a VERY young persons repertoire it would be nice to keep that in mind. There is a BIG difference between an eleven year olds creations and a 20+.
Please watch the video for "Murder Song 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" live at Nobel Peace Prize Concert. There is also a live performance of Runaway. Her live shows are the best way to experience Aurora.
Would also recommend singer named EIVOR (eye vore). She is from the Faroe Islands. Try "Falling Free" live at Old Theatre in Torshavn. I think you'll like.
