Hi, Jessalyn! I hope you've had a great summer! I was laughing about the A/C comment, because been there, done that, LOL. Also, "that's all we're gonna do, and they can't do it," THEY REALLY CAN'T. It can be the most basic direction and you still get looked at like you have three heads. 😂 One thought - can you cover those rules with white paper, and then just redo them to put on your door? Or maybe make a mini bulletin board out of that white paper with some science images or something? Just a thought. Also, I like those tables so much better when they're against the wall! The pool noodles are a great idea, just to cut down on as many scuffs as you can. When do you officially report back?

The kids start on the 11th. This summer flew by! Congrats on the librarian position. I know you must be excited!
You are so hilarious! This is the best setup video I have ever seen. I’m going in to my 18th year and for some reason I have developed a new teacher kind of joy this year. We’ll see how long it lasts. 😂😂😂 I can relate to literally everything you said. 😂😂😂

I'm latina so coffee is in my DNA. I don't spend money on expensive coffee.I have a percolator at work for my morning cup of Joe and a Keurig for my afternoon jolt. I also bring in from home my breakfast,lunch, ànd snacks for the week because I'm too broke to invest in food that spends 15 minutes in my mouth. I don't know how the other half does it?
This advice is probably too late but maybe it'll help for the stuff later why don't you get a poster board like a white one and then put whatever you want to hang up on the poster boards and that way you only have like four spots instead of like the five for each pieces of paper..... did I explain that well enough?
Hey! It makes great sense! The only problem is that a poster board would be a little heavy and would require more of the glue to put on the wall. We had a teacher try that and the paint chip was severe haha. But thank you so much. I appreciate the advice. ❤️
"Brand new baby teachers with their starbucks who don't eat!" That is what I mean! I'm waiting for them to have their first baby and stop with the "not eating." I don't know how they live like that, and never pack a lunch! I mean, really?

A TRICK i LEARNED WAS TO PUT PAINTERS TAPE ON THE WALL THEN THE GLUE OR COMMAND STRIPS.
We tried that last year. The whiteboard walls have a coating on it that makes it hard for most things to stick (even painters tape 😅)
