From what I can hear, the lady asks 'Who's published a paper already?'. Probably the question wasn't pertinent to this discussion, which I believe wasn't. Also, if it is the same lady who has been asking the previous comments, then Simon and her seem to be on quite good terms, so it might not be necessarily rude. But yeah, looks a bit rude on the surface.
