An excellent moc. I particularly appreciate it because you make it seem so simple. I’m just getting back into Lego and suffering from a lack of imagination and detail. I’m in my late 50’s and these kinds of videos really help me out.
Thank you! I’m glad you find the videos helpful - I try to make these videos be the types of videos that I would want to watch, so hopefully people can be inspired by them, and get a straightforward view into how these build are made!
Really excited to finally see an update on this custom building. The red guitar piece looks amazing with the green leaves and makes the sign stand out. You're very creative, Chris - I wouldn't have thought of that.
Thank you, I really appreciate that! Between you and me, the guitar was a happy accident - I left the cup of minifigure parts that I was using in the city after the previous video, and it just happened to catch my eye whilst being stumped. Everything happens for a reason!
I like all of your vids because it gives me inspiration for my own city. I am maybe going to start on YT soon. So thank you very much for sharing all of this cool stuff!
I realize that the MOC is a work in progress, but one thing to consider is some manner of entrance to the other two floors or access through the floor into those units.
I’ve been toying around with a couple ideas for that, but I haven’t come up with a solution I like yet. They either take up too much space or they don’t look right. I’m sure I’ll come up with something, but if you have any ideas I’d love to hear them!
What is the oldest (complete) Lego set you own (modular and non-modular) and your favorite set that's not a modular building. (for monthly questions) I'm not a fan of Lego's modulars because I don't like the architecture. Personally, I prefer modern-looking buildings. I can appreciate them in other people's cities, but I don't like it personally.
Since it’s surrounds the open space in the city the back needs like a raised bed of flowers, since it’s a flower shop. What if you put the balcony within the 16x19 footprint and save on some bricks?
Hi Chris, nice vid!! Your vids are so relax to watch. I have a few questions (hope you don’t) mind. - How old are you? - What kind work you do IRL (because you can spend so much time in your Lego city and making vids) how do you find the balance and manage the time? Keep the good work! Love Melis from the Netherlands

That’s the best thing about this community, getting ideas off of each other! 😊

I can look into that to see if that’s feasible!
Are you going to buy build or add any houses in your city?
